Nikki Blackheart has arrived
Kelani Jordan proved that she’s worthy of a Championship opportunity by defeating former NXT Women’s Champion and Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley. The two NXT stalwarts had each other perfectly scouted as Jordan’s athleticism and high-flying game were consistently neutralized by the unorthodox mat-based Paxley.
In the midst of the battle, NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey sat ringside and was blindsided by Kali Armstrong. Jordan set Paxley up perfectly with an Olympic Slam before hitting a match-ending One-of-a-Kind Split-Legged Moonsault. After the match, a new Superstar, said to be called Martinez, jumped into the ring and attacked Paxley.
NXT Review – Meanwhile, backstage
- Keanu Carver attacked Hijo del Vikingo before his match.
- Izzi Dame told Zaria she would take that title from her. Meanwhile, Lizzy Rain was playing air guitar in the locker room to make it rain.
- Kelani Jordan complained about what happened to Robert Stone. Jordan will face Tatum tonight, while Keanu Carver competes against EK Prosper.
- Many teams wanted a chance at the NXT Tag Team Championship: BirthRight, OTM, Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux, DarkState, Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar. Robert Stone stated that the tag titles should be defended more often. There will be a Fatal Four-Way match next week to determine the #1 contender. Moreno wanted to know why not them. Dar told him they need to win some matches before getting their chance.
- Kali Armstrong asked Robert Stone to be the next contender for the Women’s Championship. Nattie will have a title chance next week.
- Tatum Paxley told Shiloh Hill that she will beat Kelani and resume her path to the title. She pointed out how Shiloh did and saw a side of Shiloh we never saw. Tatum said they are alike because they know when to tap into the darkness. Niko Vance told Hill they made the right decision with Spears and Tatum. They will remove the weak pieces to reach the top. Hill told Vance not to talk about Paxley like that.
- Myles Borne and Tavion Heights had some words.
- Next week, we have a Fatal Four-Way match to get the #1 contenders for the Women’s North American title.
