United States Championship Match: Trick Williams v Ricky Saints
SmackDown’s mid-card scene is on fire right now. Trick Williams has been a star in the making for a while now, but men like Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints aren’t too far behind. With the way this program is going, it would have made sense to see a triple threat match at Night of Champions, but that might give the PLE a triple threat overload. That being said, this match won’t suffer from quality.
Ricky Saints and Trick Williams will turn in a great performance. They have spent the past few weeks effectively building tension. Williams cocky attitude is reminiscent of stars from another era, and the crowd is loving every minute of it.
He and Saints have had some fun back-and-forth moments and will easily turn in a fantastic performance at Night of Champions. This program would be a callback to The Rock and Triple H’s battles over the Intercontinental Championship.
Trick Williams is a main event star in the making, and WWE should not think twice about having him retain the United States Championship. There is a chance that Carmelo Hayes could make his presence known, but that won’t stop Trick Williams from retaining the strap.
Winner: Trick Williams
King of the Ring Finals: Oba Femi v Jey Uso
It’s been a long journey, but the King of the Ring Finals have been set. Like the Women’s tournament, this might not be the pairing the wrestling world expected to see. Oba Femi was earmarked for a finals berth from the onset, but Jey Uso was a surprise.
Uso hasn’t been the same since losing his World Championship, being pushed back into a secondary role within the company. Nowadays, he is back as Roman Reigns’ running mate, so if he wins, there’s no chance he is taking on the Tribal Chief at SummerSlam.

Even with Jey Uso’s experience, he is the underdog. Oba Femi is a monster, decimating everyone who has stood in front of him. This will be a David v Goliath match with Uso trying to use his speed to stay ahead of the Ruler. The minutes might not run long in this contest, but it will be fun to watch the high-impact action.
There are two possibilities to consider when it comes to the finish at WWE Night of Champions 2026. One is that Brock Lesnar will cost Oba Femi the crown, setting up a rubber match at SummerSlam.
The other is that Femi dominates Jey Uso and sets up a potential SummerSlam match against Roman Reigns. It’s going to hurt to say this, but Brock Lesnar is going to make an appearance. Oba Femi and The Beast’s issues aren’t over, and Jey Uso will be the beneficiary. Much to the chagrin of the IWC.
Winner: Jey Uso
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes v Gunther v Sami Zayn
The layers that have gone into the storytelling of this triple-threat match have been incredible. Cody Rhodes has been fighting a war on two fronts. One with a Ring General wanting to win the WWE Championship, and the other a man who has a complex relationship with the champion.
It’s amazing how well WWE has worked the Sami Zayn heel turn, considering he hasn’t fully moved over to the dark side. The justification of his character adds so much to the issues between him and Rhodes, and the added caveat of Gunther being his vicious self is the cherry on top.

Over the past few months, these men have created special moments when they went one-on-one. So it would logically follow that this match will build on that, making it a great main event. It’s hard to see which way some allegiances will play out, making the uncertainty surrounding the outcome vague, but that’s what the world wants. We can’t always have a clear-cut favorite as the championship match starts.
Gunther and Sami Zayn are both great choices to win this WWE Night of Champions 2026 match, but WWE will go with the safe bet. Cody Rhodes is the face of the company and will give WWE a marketable star to build towards SummerSlam. A shock title change is always on the table, but it doesn’t seem likely here.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
