On Monday morning, WWE announced that Money in the Bank, originally scheduled for Labor Day Weekend, would instead take place a month later on Saturday, October 10. In doing so, WWE is making a schedule shift that doesn’t just affect Money in the Bank but also one of its other properties. Revealed during the live Raw broadcast from Paris this afternoon, taking the place of Money in the Bank on September 6 is a special one-night-only Sunday night edition of Saturday’s Main Event.
WWE Updates Calendar with New Dates for Money in the Bank, Sunday Night’s Main Event

As previously announced, WWE’s Money in the Bank will take place from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, through a partnership with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global. This will be New Orleans’ first WWE event of the year and its first PLE since the city hosted WrestleMania 34 in 2018. New Orleans had been rumored to have been in the running to be the host for this year’s WrestleMania; however, that didn’t come to pass as the event returned to Las Vegas, Nevada for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, Sunday Night’s Main Event returns to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, which hosted Goldberg’s retirement SNME last July. Most recently, the arena also hosted a post-retirement tribute to AJ Styles, at which it was announced he’d join the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame Class.
WWE shifting its calendar around is nothing new, but it’s worth noting these are the 3rd such changes in a short period. Prior to the Sunday Night’s Main Event and Money in the Bank date change announcements, WWE revealed Great American Bash would take place in June during a particularly crowded day for wrestling. The most recent Great American Bash took place in Atlanta last July. This year’s returns to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and will air as a CW TV special. This puts NXT head-to-head with AEW once again, as AEW Forbidden Door is scheduled for the same June 28 date and 7 PM start time.
Upcoming WWE Event Dates

Leading up to SummerSlam, WWE’s calendar is certainly filling up as they prep for August’s two-night extravaganza. In addition to the three dates noted above, WWE has a lot of marquee events coming up, including: the conclusion of its European Tour, Night of Champions live from Saudi Arabia, the start of a North American summer tour, which will see house shows return to the states and Canada, and a brief South American tour with a live Raw and SmackDown from Mexico in September.
WWE also has another Saturday Night’s Main Event coming up in July, live from Madison Square Garden. The event in September will mark the fourth on the calendar, preceded by Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXXIII (January), Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXXIV (May), and Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXXV (July). That means there is likely to be one more SNME, likely for November or December yet to be announced.
