WWE SmackDown Spoilers & Results (5/29/26):

In the home of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, these WWE SmackDown spoilers began with a recap of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. To formally start us off in a huge way, Jade Cargill, along with B-FAB and Michin, confronts WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill ahead of their battle at WWE Clash in Italy.

Cargill and her crew went into Spain as cocky as ever, antagonizing the crowd and saying she can do whatever she wants, as Jade speaks to the crowd in Spain in their native language. Before anything could go further, Rhea Ripley, with gold in hand, would get in the face of her challenger.

Ripley would go for the jugular, saying Cargill only pushes her dominance because she uses people to do her bidding, but when it’s one-on-one, Ripley has always had Cargill’s number. Cargill would reply, saying the women she employs want to be by her side because of power, while Ripley settles for backup that doesn’t even like her.

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss would enter the building to make their reply, being the aforementioned backup of Mami. Flair and Bliss would make it known that Cargill is too wrapped up in her own hype, with Bliss saying that Cargill has the ego of a legend and a resume of a rookie, and Jade better stop talking or Alexa will end her career then and there.

Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill

These WWE SmackDown spoilers just got a lot better, as SmackDown GM Nick Aldis heard the spicy beginning to SmackDown, and he’s heard enough, sanctioning a match between Alexa Bliss and Jade Cargill to kick off the WWE European Tour. Cargill put on a display of power unlike any other, giving us highlights like delivering a Powerbomb to the guardrail to Alexa Bliss.

Of course, Bliss is an amazing competitor, and she tried to fight her way back. But Michin would grab her leg, causing her to fall. Ripley and Flair would fight off Cargill’s cronies, as Alexa would hit a DDT on Jade. Bliss would try to go for the kill with Twisted Bliss, only for Cargill to get her knees up and prop her up for Jaded.

Post-match, Jade Cargill would once again hit Jaded on Alexa, only this time, on top of a steel chair. Rhea and Charlotte would run her off, with both women absolutely livid.

Backstage:

  • Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes would try to deliver his thoughts on Gunther’s attack, but Sami Zayn would enter the fray, saying Rhodes should apologize, since he “stuck a knife” in his back. Cody had had enough, saying he was done with Zayn’s whining. Sami said he wanted to help because he’s wired to help, but he didn’t, because the “right thing” to do is to leave him in the clutches of Gunther to learn a lesson. Rhodes said once he’s done with Gunther, he’s coming after Zayn.
  • The WWE SmackDown spoilers continue as we see Nick Aldis talking to Danhausen about his Cloning Machine that got held up in customs, and he wants Danhausen to do his job and entertain. The Miz wanted his match with Axiom called off since Kit Wilson isn’t here, but Aldis would have none of it.

Axiom vs. The Miz

The hometown hero returns for this round of WWE SmackDown results, as Axiom takes on The Miz in one-on-one action! In a great display of contrast of styles, The Miz and Axiom showed out tonight, with the veteran bringing it by grounding Axiom, while the hometown boy would answer back with a high-flying onslaught.

The tides would turn when Axiom would hit a beautiful Cross Body, followed up with a modified version of the Rings of Saturn. The Miz would fight back and lift him off the mat, and execute a Rebound Powerbomb. Miz would scale the ropes, but the lights would go out, similar to the beginning of the match, allowing Axiom to hit the Avalanche Spanish Fly.

Axiom would go for the kill, hitting the Golden Ratio, as Lilian Garcia would probably announce him as the winner in Spanish.

Backstage:

  • R-Truth set up a tag match that involves Damian Priest and Royce Keys, to help them be friends against MFT.
  • For however many weeks, Sami Zayn confides in a catatonic Johnny Gargano. Matt Cardona would confront Zayn to knock off with the nonsense. Zayn says if Cardona wanted to do something about it, they could settle it in the ring.

Damian Priest & Royce Keys vs. MFT

According to R-Truth, this is a “setup,” as in he set it up to help Keys and Priest co-exist as they take on MFT in tag action. As anyone can imagine, it was a monster mash battle between the four. Royce Keys had Damian Priest’s back, even removing Talla Tonga from the equation. Priest had Tama Tonga dead to rights, but behind the referee’s back, Solo Sikoa would intervene, hitting a Samoan Spike on Priest.

R-Truth would come out to even the odds, but got a Samoan Spike for his troubles. Keys would try to help, but would get taken out by Tama on the outside. Amidst all the chaos, Talla would capitalize, hitting a Talla T-Bomb Chokeslam on Damian Priest to nab the win. After the match, Sikoa would make it known to Keys that it’s not too late to join their ranks.

Sami Zayn vs. Matt Cardona

We roll on in these WWE SmackDown spoilers as Sami Zayn looks to settle his dispute with Matt Cardona. Zayn and Cardona put on quite a clinic in a match of the night candidate. It was an even battle, with no competitor absolutely taking control. For most of the match, Cardona was trying so hard to hit Rough Ryder, but would get Powerbombed for his efforts.

On his third attempt, Matt finally hit Rough Ryder and almost had Sami Zayn. Unfortunately, Zayn was too much to handle. After a scuffle, Cardona would find himself in a perfect position for an Exploder Suplex on the turnbuckle, and Zayn would deliver. This match would end with Zayn leveling Cardona with a Helluva Kick for the win.

Trick Williams Speaks

Backed by Lil Yachty, United States Champion Trick Williams talks to the WWE Universe. Trick made his plans known for the “Trick Williams Campaign.”

Ricky Saints vs. Carmelo Hayes

After costing him the United States Title, Carmelo Hayes seeks revenge against Ricky Saints. These two men went to war, as Ricky Saints dominated the early part of this match. The match would take a turn when Ricky Saints fumbled a Revolution DDT attempt, as Melo would get out of the predicament.

Even after hitting a picture-perfect Dirty Diana, Saints was defiant, leaving Carmelo searching for answers regarding how to beat him. They took the action outside, with Hayes executing a Clothesline off the barrier at ringside. Unfortunately, neither man answered the count in time, resulting in a no-contest.

After the match, Ricky Saints would assault Carmelo, but “H1M” had other plans, embarrassing Ricky Saints by nailing the First 48 in front of the Barcelona WWE SmackDown crowd, laying him out.

Chelsea Green vs. Nia Jax

Going at it alone, Chelsea Green looks to exact a measure of payback as she takes on Nia Jax right now on WWE SmackDown. Green was on fire to begin the match. Unfortunately, Jax’s power would catch up to her soon enough, as Jax molly-whopped her all over the ring.

When everything was looking grim as Nia Jax positioned her for the Annihilator, Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton’s music would hit, as Jax instructed Lash Legend to deal with it. As the official and Legend were looking over the entrance ramp, Stratton would show up at ringside and blast Jax with the title, allowing Chelsea Green to get a huge victory.

Backstage:

Gunther and Cody Rhodes Face-to-Face

Before Clash in Italy, Gunther and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes say their piece for the final time. Both men got down to business, with Gunther going first. The “Ring General” called Cody is entitled and egotistical, saying that his desire to be on top is unmatched, considering he’s cashed in every favor and privilege that the son of a legend has in this industry.

Gunther would essentially tell him he’s doing this for himself because he doesn’t like getting one-upped. Rhodes would have a strong rebuttal, saying being Undisputed WWE Champions is addictive, and if anything, Gunther is just as sick of wanting this responsibility.

Being the face of the WWE is lethal, with Rhodes saying that he does want it, and he’s good enough to do it, but he thinks Gunther is masking the fact that he wants the same things, but he’s just simply not good enough to assume the role of top dog. Gunther would get in the final shot in Barcelona, saying he made good on his word when he informed Goldberg, AJ Styles, and John Cena that they would finish their careers.

At WWE Clash in Italy in two days, Gunther promises that he’ll do the same and end Cody Rhodes’ reign with the Undisputed WWE Championship.

That’s all for REAL-TIME WWE SmackDown spoilers and results for May 29, 2026, as they happened live from the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona, Spain.
