1. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria Become the New Women’s Tag Team Champions
We have finally arrived at the shocker of this list: Bayley and Lyra Valkyria defeating the defending champions, Nia Jax and Lash Legend, along with the powerhouse teams of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, and the returning Bella Twins, also involved in the bout. What makes this so shocking is that Bayley and Lyra are a relatively new duo facing off against some of the most decorated legends in the division’s history.
It certainly feels as though Bayley and Lyra are poised for victory. WWE has been crafting a year-long redemption arc for Bayley, who feels she was robbed of her chance to compete at last year’s WrestleMania following a backstage attack by Becky Lynch. While The Irresistible Forces have held the titles for just over a month, Lash Legend seems ready to break out as a singles star.
Furthermore, Charlotte and Alexa only recently held the gold from August to November last year. With Nikki Bella’s recent ankle sprain, it isn’t even certain the Bellas will be able to compete.
Lyra and Bayley clearly represent the ultimate underdog story in this four-way clash, which has fans convinced that the two are set to win the tag team titles at WrestleMania 42.
Other title matches could have made this list, including Punk vs. Reigns or Morgan vs. Vaquer. However, as our site has touched on recently, it feels like CM Punk has captured all the momentum lately, thanks in large part to the incredible promo he delivered last week.
Additionally, since the World Heavyweight Championship is branded as the “workhorse” title, it wouldn’t make sense for Reigns, a part-timer, to take it. Meanwhile, in the Morgan vs. Vaquer clash, Morgan is the clear favorite, though Roxanne Perez provides an intriguing dynamic that shouldn’t be ignored.
Finn Balor originally brought Perez into The Judgment Day, and following his recent departure, fans are questioning whether she is unhappy with the group’s new dynamic.
There is also speculation that the faction’s decision to oust him could lead to Perez costing Morgan the match as a form of retaliation. When Morgan asked her if she was on board with the new direction last week, she didn’t have an opportunity to answer before Stephanie Vaquer’s attack.
With Vegas historically known as a city built on high stakes, these three title changes would provide the winning jackpot the company is looking for. By having Bayley and Lyra overcome their underdog path, WWE would solidify them as a new force to be reckoned with in the women’s tag team division.
A win for Trick Williams to become United States Champion would be the ultimate reward for the incredible work he’s put in over the last four months, while Randy Orton has the chance to prove he’s not just back in the title picture, but ready to make a statement by claiming his 15th World Championship.
By crowning three new champions in Las Vegas, WWE would fundamentally shift the power balance across its rosters, signaling a transition from established legends to a hungry new class of leaders.
