3. Kevin Owens vs. John Cena – Elimination Chamber 2015
One of the greatest singles matches in the history of the Elimination Chamber was Kevin Owens and John Cena’s match at Elimination Chamber 2015. This was KO’s first match on the main roster, walking in as the reigning NXT Champion. Cena held the WWE United States Championship, but neither championship was on the line in their non-title match. Nevertheless, they told an excellent story with KO showcasing that he was more than ready to hang with the big guns.
Cena executed a moonsault, which isn’t something in his arsenal. Both men had strong resilience, with the pair kicking out of each other’s respective finishers. Nevertheless, it was a debut to remember for the reigning NXT Champion as he defeated the then 15-time WWE world champion with his trademark Pop-up Powerbomb.
