Nikki Bella arrived at Monday Night Raw alongside her sister, Brie Bella, to note that the two were planning on going after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, a title that didn’t exist when they were perfecting twin magic a decade ago. And while the spotlight was largely on Brie’s return and the twins’ pursuit of the belts, that didn’t stop Nikki from catching a little shade from her sister about the man she’s been rumored to have been dating for a few months.
Brie Bella Turns Boos Into ‘Coop’ Chant, Referencing Nikki’s Link to Eagles Star
Cooper DeJean was a little busy this week to be in attendance at Monday Night Raw, given he’s in San Francisco, California, right now getting ready to play in Tuesday’s Pro Bowl Games. The Philadelphia Eagles star is coming off his second and best season in the league, earning not only a Pro Bowl nod but a First Team All-Pro as well alongside his dynamic secondary mate, Quinyon Mitchell.
The young Eagles star has definitely become a fan-favorite dating back to his rookie season and Super Bowl interception. He’s also caught the eye of a certain celebrity Birds fan, Nikki Bella. Nikki and Cooper DeJean have been rumored to be dating for quite some time, with Bella seen at Eagles games and out and about with DeJean, and DeJean is normally in town for WWE shows. His front row spot next to Big Dom was occupied by Bert Kreischer, but that didn’t stop DeJean from getting a shout-out from the Philly faithful.
It all started when Nikki hit the ring and was met with boos. She jokingly asked if the boos were for the Eagles for not getting far in the playoffs or for her (they were definitely for her given her recent heel turn). Brie however, pointed out that it sounded like they weren’t boos at all. It sounded like the crowd was saying, ‘Coooop.” Sure enough, that turned into a Coop chant to which Nikki replied, “Can you blame a girl for having good taste,” before shouting out DeJean for being in the Pro Bowl.
The quip was met with cheers from the crowd as the moment was quick and fun but it did seem Brie caught her sister off guard a bit by bringing up her rumored boy toy. Nikki has told reporters that she is happily single but having fun, never really denying the rumors. However, on Monday night, she seems to have given more information about her budding romance than anytime previously by leaning in to the speculation in front of thousands of DeJean’s biggest fans.
