3. Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley started 2024 as the Women’s World Champion, but she legitimately injured her shoulder after WrestleMania 40, causing her to relinquish the title. Nevertheless, similar to her nemesis Liv Morgan’s revenge tour, Ripley was after the title she never lost.
The Eradicator failed to beat Liv for the title at SummerSlam as Dominik Mysterio betrayed her for Liv. Raquel cost her a chance for the title at Bad Blood 2024.
Inevitably, Ripley was going to recapture the Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan. She defended the title on January 25, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event against a familiar foe, Nia Jax.
However, Ripley looked set to enter WrestleMania 41 as the Women’s World Champion for the second consecutive year. Iyo Sky had different ideas and stunned Ripley on Raw’s March 3, 2025, episode, with Ripley’s reign lasting eight weeks.
2. IYO SKY
Fans rejoiced when IYO SKY defeated Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. With the victory, the Genius of the SKY became the first woman to win the Women’s World Championship and the WWE Women’s Championship in their current state. Sky’s Women’s World Championship reign fired on all cylinders.
She had banger after banger. Her successful title defense against Ripley and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41 is a five-star epic and arguably WWE’s match of the year.

Surprisingly, after WrestleMania, SKY didn’t defend the Women’s World Championship for three months. SKY’s in-ring work is among the best in the business, ensuring that all of her matches were superb affairs despite defending the title three times. Naomi ended her title reign in an impromptu triple threat match at Evolution 2025 with Rhea Ripley as the other competitor.
