WWE NXT Preview (12/23/25) – Will We See A New Women’s United States Champion?

Last week, NXT ended in a shocking way as a new Women’s North American Champion was crowned. Thea Hail defied the odds and captured her first championship in NXT by defeating Blake Monroe. This upcoming Tuesday, both women will likely have something to say.

There is much more that has officially been confirmed for the next episode of NXT. Here is what you can look forward to seeing.

Will Sol Ruca Become a Champion Once Again?

Last week on NXT, General Manager Ava scheduled a Women’s United States Championship match for this Tuesday, December 23rd. The champion, Chelsea Green, will defend against Sol Ruca.

This match was made after Chelsea Green had stated that “double champions can do anything”. That statement created Green’s match for this coming week and Page’s North American Championship for the week after.

Sol Ruca was the one to receive this opportunity as she defeated Bayley on Saturday Night Main Event. The win at SNME was significant for Ruca’s career for many reasons. She was the only person from NXT to leave SNME with a victory over someone on the main roster. And not just anyone on the main roster, but a former two-time Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Will Sol Ruca be able to leave next week’s NXT holding gold once again?

A New Mixed Tag Team on the Horizon?

Skylar Raye and Shiloh Hill, the winners of LFG, were caught chatting backstage when Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace interrupted, discussing how close they were for a chance at the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships. This led to a match being created for next week’s episode of NXT.

Ethan Page and Chelsea Green may have more to worry about than simply defending their singles championships. If Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye win, does that make them next in line for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship? Or if Stacks and Grace win, will they have earned their shot?

Who do you think is more deserving to receive the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships? And who do you think will walk out the victor next week?

Match Card and Preview:

  • Women’s United States Championship: Chelsea Green (c) vs. Sol Ruca
  • Singles Match: Lola Vice vs. Izzi Dame
  • Mixed Tag Team Match: Shiloh Hill and Skylar Raye vs Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace
  • Men’s Speed No. 1 Contenders Tournament Begins:
    • Tavion Heights vs. Eli Knight
    • Andre Chase vs. Lexis King
