4 Feuds for a Potential Chris Jericho WWE Comeback

Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens, like Seth Rollins, is currently out due to an injury suffered in January 2025, with his return date up in the air following his neck surgery in July 2025. This matchup would reignite an old rivalry between the two and would be a thrilling exploration of the history Chris Jericho has had with Owens.

The “Jeri-KO” tag team debuted in April 2016 and teamed together until the infamous “Festival of Friendship” episode on Raw in February 2017, where Kevin Owens turned on his friend, ending their relationship.

This betrayal erupted into a bitter feud between the two, leading to their battle for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 33 on April 2, 2017, with Owens defeating Jericho to win the title. Jericho would get his own payback at the PLE of the same name four weeks later when he would win back the title from Owens.

Both Jericho and Owens are considered two masters of the mic, and the history between the two would make for an emotionally compelling storyline that would be incredible to see play out. The return of both Owens and Jericho would be an exciting opportunity for WWE to resolve unfinished business and run it back between these two one final time.
