2. Charlotte Flair
A reign that marked the end of an era, and the start of a revolution. Only two months after her main roster debut, Charlotte Flair would defeat Nikki Bella to become champion. The reign marked the beginning of a new era in WWE, one that ushered in a newfound respect for women’s wrestling on a worldwide stage. Flair would retire the title at WrestleMania 32, defeating Sasha Banks (now Mercedes Mone) and Becky Lynch in an epic triple threat match.
Flair’s reign itself lasted just shy of 200 days, but it only saw a few defenses. She defended it against Paige, Natalya, Nikki Bella, and Brie Bella. Her last defense was against Brie Bella at Fastlane in 2016. A remarkable, but often forgotten reign, not only did it cement Flair’s career, it laid the foundations for the Women’s Evolution.
