AEW Collision returns to Cardiff, Wales, bringing with it week 3 of the Continental Classic to the UK. After last night’s explosive episode of Collision, plenty has been confirmed. Three match graphics have dropped, including one big title contest. We’ll have to wait and see.
With four big matches on the card and plenty of big match-ups left for the Blue and Gold League. As someone who will be there live, Saturday night at the Utilita Arena, I’d love to see Kevin Knight vs. PAC! Please book it, Tony Khan!
There’s plenty announced to avoid speculation. Don’t give us none of your aggravation.
TNT Championship
Blood and Guts was not the end but the beginning of the feud between the Conglomeration and the Death Riders. Continuing through into Full Gear and the injury of Kyle O’Reilly. Bleeding into the Continental Classic, and now a challenge has been made by the TNT Champion, Mark Briscoe, to a man who last year held his championship.
Briscoe and Daniel Garcia are 1-1 in singles action. Briscoe won their encounter in the Continental Classic last year. Then Garcia beat Briscoe to retain his TNT Championship. Roles reversed, and Garcia aligned with the men he fought against alongside Briscoe earlier this year.
Like with Kyle Fletcher, Briscoe and Garcia had strong chemistry. Unlike the Continental Classic, the Death Riders can be at the ringside area. Will Briscoe be smart enough to bring support? Expect Briscoe to have a plan. Whether this, like Briscoe vs. Fletcher, leads to a long and epic feud that stretches into 2026, we’ll see.
Hayter and Statlander Take on The Sisters of Sin
Whilst Dynamite will see the crowning of the first-ever AEW Women’s World Tag Team champions, Saturday night might see the next feud for AEW Women’s World Champion, Kris Statlander, confirmed. After defeating Timeless Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone, the Best in the Galaxy is looking forward. Yet, as seen on Collision, Thekla and the Sisters of Sin have clear priorities.
Teaming with Statlander is Jamie Hayter, who has been the only woman to defeat Thekla in singles action at WrestleDream. It’s poetic also. Hayter made her return from injury at Forbidden Door, on the opposite coast in a different country. Note to our American readers- Wales and England are separate countries.
Returning to the UK, Hayter gets her hands on Thekla’s teammates. The women who beat her and Queen Aminata in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament.
If the Triangle of Madness win, will this propel Thekla towards a title shot? Or if the faces win, is Jamie Hayter the next challenger? Given the characters’ abilities and differences, this match is going to rock.
To quote the Toxic Spider: “See you in Cardiff, b*tch.”
