BIG Women’s Showcase Match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Set

This Friday night’s WWE SmackDown did not pull any punches. Earlier in the night, two of NXT’s biggest would visit Friday Night Fight Night, with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis presenting a huge opportunity. When the WWE Universe thought it could not get any bigger, it just did. The card for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event just got a lot bigger, considering it already has the final match of John Cena on it.

In Aldis’ office, The Miz was pleading his case, looking to get on the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event card, but would get shunned. Instead, Aldis invited WWE Monday Night Raw star Bayley to SmackDown to speak about a potential match at the event.

Aldis spoke to WWE NXT GM Ava and Raw head honcho Adam Pearce about a showcase match on December 13, 2025, involving former WWE Women’s Speed and NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca.

Bayley relished the opportunity to fight her, but said that she was impressed with Ruca’s work in NXT. That said, performing on Raw and SmackDown was on another level. Ruca just chuckled at the subtle jab, saying that she’s more than ready. Bayley concluded the proceedings by telling Sol Ruca she’ll be keeping a watchful eye on her at NXT Deadline.
