John Cena’s WWE Entrance Theme Songs, Ranked Worst To Best

3. “Insert Bass Here”

  • Used Between: November 2002-February 2003
  • Titles Won With This Song: None

John Cena finally started showing signs of personality in October 2002. After attacking Billy Kidman and turning heel, Cena dressed as Vanilla Ice on Halloween and did a freestyle rap. While the Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick only took off months later, that’s the night it was born. John Cena wasn’t quite there yet, but it was already much better than being SmackDown’s generic happy-go-lucky rookie.

During that time, Cena introduced a brand new theme song, Insert Bass Here. This song is mainly remembered as a stepping stone, as it kind of matched the new gimmick… but didn’t quite match the charisma Cena was starting to show on TV. John Cena came out to Insert Bass Here before debuting the song that perfectly fit his rapper gimmick.
