AEW Dynamite Results from AEW Dynamite Tonight (12/3/25)

Samoa Joe and Eddie Kingston face-to-face

Tony Schiavone introduced both men. Joe immediately evicted him. The AEW Men’s World Champion denounced Indiana as a state and insulted Kingston’s fashion sense. He then touted Hook’s alliance with The Opps and his future as a champion. As for “Why Eddie?”, Joe saw him as someone who couldn’t “cross the finish line.” Aware that the Mad King would bring an undeniable fight, the champ reinforced that Kingston still wouldn’t be able to cross that finish line.

Kingston praised Joe’s history at Ring of Honor while claiming he lost his soul riding in jets. He hyped his own mentor from the independent scene, Homicide. Not recognizing Joe in his current form, Kingston decried how The Opps were now the antithesis of what they stood for. Concluding by saying that if this version of Joe met him in the ring at Winter is Coming, that he’d eat him alive, he flipped his microphone and departed.

The Opps promised to spread holiday cheer

Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook, and Katsuyori Shibata all proclaimed they would destroy the Dark Order in a trios match later tonight.

Kazuchika Okada defeated Pac

Pac quickly controlled Okada’s waist, and the pair traded wristlocks. He leapt from the top rope for a missile dropkick. Okada cornered him for some chops before dropping him flat on the mat. A vengeful Pac stomped and scraped at the Continental Champion’s face. The wrestlers then exchanged dropkicks, with Okada’s being the most devastating. Taking advantage of his ruinous effects on the Bastard, Okada crushed him with an elbow drop. Pac evaded a Rainmaker by backing him into a corner.

Now freed, Pac disoriented his opponent with a pump kick. A firmly locked bridging German suplex nearly spelled doom for Okada. However, Okada recovered to counter an attempted piledriver with his own Tombstone Piledriver. Pac absorbed it to unleash a top rope Brainbuster, followed by a lariat. Diving for the pin, the Bastard instead found himself caught in a counter roll-up pin.

(This was decent, but I wish there was more urgency and heat in this. Granted, this is a match early into the Continental Classic. Personally, I’d like to see a faction war between the Don Callis Family and the Death Riders at some point.)

Mark Briscoe had words for Daniel Garcia

Briscoe challenged Garcia for the TNT Championship in a title defense at Winter is Coming.

Ricochet challenged Dalton Castle

The AEW National Champion Ricochet put his title on the line for Ring of Honor’s upcoming Final Battle pay-per-view.

Conglomeration and Roderick Strong segment

Mark Briscoe began the backstage segment, sharing good vibes between Orange Cassidy and Strong ahead of the Dec. 6 episode of AEW Collision. Cassidy wished Strong well and attempted a high-five. Strong did not reciprocate, enforcing that he’s not a Conglomeration member and that he’d break Cassidy’s back.

Kyle Fletcher defeated Kevin Knight

Knight and Fletcher circled each other like hungry wolves. They grappled to the ropes, with Knight confidently in control. Fletcher gained the upper hand as he wriggled from Knight’s control and side-slammed him. Fleeing from a dropkick following Knight’s deep arm drag, the Protostar met him back in the ring. To Don Callis’s shock, Fletcher’s powerbomb to Knight on the apron failed, instead eating a flying lariat on the floor from the top rope.

A big boot from Fletcher sent Knight reeling, but a dropkick returned the favor. Bomaye from Knight rattled the Protostar further. A hurricanrana and Pendulum DDT rocked Fletcher with an emphatic echo from the ring. Fletcher torpedoed Knight into the turnbuckle. Indiana erupted for Knight, landing another successful flying lariat. Sensing a UFO Splash from the top, the Protostar attacked the ropes to damage Knight’s nether region. Knight positioned Fletcher against the turnbuckle to set up an impressive Coast-to-Coast. At last, Knight landed a UFO Splash from the top rope, but Fletcher’s knees defied him. The pair traded finishers, but a sprinting big boot and Brainbuster soundly defeated Knight for the pinfall.

(What match. What a freaking match. This one commanded every second of your attention, refusing to relent. In no way does Knight’s defeat diminish him for he put Fletcher to his absolute limits.)

Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis Family segment

Callis asked Fletcher how he was doing, and he responded by “Not good.” Assuring Fletcher he’d be okay, Callis shifted his attention to the Young Bucks. In a last-ditch effort to appeal to the Bucks, Callis implored them to come and take his money and solidify their place in his family. Instead, they charged in, wiping out Kyle Fletcher as Josh Alexander and Hechicero scurried away. Kazuchika Okada darted to the ring, hitting a Rainmaker lariat on Matt while Alexander tortured Nick with an Ankle Lock.

Jurassic Express came to their aid, as Luchasaurus flung Jack Perry into Alexander and Hechicero. Before Perry could get revenge on Okada, he was overwhelmed by Mark Davis and Clon. Davis and Okada forced Nick to watch Callis pummel Matt in the head. Kenny Omega evened the odds right as Nick’s eyes were gouged by Callis. Omega hurled Okada with a Snapdragon Suplex. Okada retreated with the Family before Omega’s V-Trigger could be pulled.

Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale set their sights on the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship

Addressing their history together, Cameron and Nightingale declared that they won’t rely on surprise upsets. They instead predicted they will win the titles as the Babes of Wrath by sheer determination.

Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) defeated Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne in a Hardcore Holiday Death Match

Storm and Shirakawa refused to be offset by their taller, domineering foes, planting them with DDTs. Shafir crumpled after a broken champagne bottle punctured her head. Shirakawa hit Bayne with a Slingblade and forced a comically oversized candy cane laced with barbed wire into her mouth. Though they kept momentum in further inflicting pain on Bayne, the Megasus toppled the Love Bombs with a double suplex. Bayne followed this by flinging Shirakawa outside onto her partner.

Shirakawa and Storm’s ribs were cracked by Bayne’s forearm and Shafir’s skillet, respectively. Bayne and Shafir coordinated to swing a chair and a skillet, respectively, but collided. Shirakawa dropkicked Bayne, leaving Storm to drop the Megasus through a table. Shafir pulled Shirakawa in for a Mother’s Milk hold. Storm lent Shirakawa a splintered pool cane, which she drove into the Death Rider’s cranium. Splash from Shirakawa provided more excruciation to Shafir, as did an aerial Slingblade onto a chair. Bayne pounced Storm onto Shirakawa, breaking her pin on Shafir. Shirakawa’s head bounced off a nearby table that Bayne speared her into. Storm Zero punctured Shafir’s lungs with Bayne’s body.

Santa Claus emerged with a gift, which Shafir snatched away. Revealing a middle finger, Claus removed his hat and beard, revealing himself to be Luther, and I can’t trust anything anymore. Storm struck Shafir with her shoe’s heel, sending her onto some pins. Holiday cheer was spread as Storm pinned Shafir.

(The appropriate amount of carnage to conclude this feud. Loved it.)

Dark Order promo and reunion with Hangman Adam Page

Evil Uno excitedly explained what their match with The Opps would mean. Page walked past them, to which Alex Reynolds tugged at his arm, instructing him to not get involved. Page obliged, but said he’d come for The Opps after the match.

Mercedes Mone interview with Renee Paquette

Mone halted Paquette’s questions after mentioning her recent loss to Kris Statlander at Full Gear. She then moved on to addressing Red Velvet ahead of Final Battle.

FTR and Stokely Hathaway promo

Hathaway laid out his grievances with Colten Gunn and Juice Robinson of the Bang Bang Gang.  Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler dared them to put their hands on their belts again.

The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs, & Hook) defeated The Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds, & Evil Uno)

The Opps immediately attacked the Dark Order before the bell. Chaos dwindled just as Silver flung Hook around the ring. Hook kicked him, leaving him tumbling outside. Hobbs punished Reynolds on the outside. Uno hoped to overcome Hook, but Shibata kicked him off the top rope. At last, Uno gained an edge, combining his speed and weight to flatten Shibata and Hook in the corners.

His chops against Hobbs proved fruitless as the Powerhouse dropped him with a bodyslam. Shibata and Hook caught Silver and Reynold sfrom behind as Hobbs tackled Uno to the mat for the pinfall.

Post-match: Hangman Adam Page attacked Hobbs and Shibata with a chain while Hook went missing. With Shibata holding Page from behind, Hobbs readied for a lariat, but Page ducked in time. Security swarmed Page, allowing The Opps to retreat.  A Buckshot Lariat parted the security but he was too late to give chase.

(I’m a sucker for AEW nostalgia, and I’m hoping this was a hint that Page and the Dark Order could eventually reunite at some point.)

Konosuke Takeshita confronted Kazuchika Okada during Don Callis promo

Callis expressed his rage for The Elite. Okada posited that the situation was Takeshita’s fault. Callis objected, stating that Takeshita was training for the Continental Classic. Takeshita headed towards Okada, but Callis and Fletcher got between them. Overlooking their current woes, Fletcher soothed Callis by mentioning how far ahead the Don Callis Family was in the Continental Classic.

Hangman Page’s rage at The Opps

Irate at the treachery of Hook after working so hard to regain the Men’s World Championship, Page declared war on him and Samoa Joe. Including Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs, Page challenged them to a tag team match, not specifying if their match would be tag team or handicap.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Jon Moxley

Moxley entered the arena with Marina Shafir by his side. Castagnoli came through the crowd, parting with Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia. Referee Bryce Remsburg ejected Shafir from ringside.

Meanwhile, Castagnoli’s strength held up despite the distracted referee. He overpowered Moxley, pinning him to the mat. Securely grounding Moxley, Castagnoli blasted him with a double stomp to the midsection. Pinning Castagnoli to the corner, Moxley rained down fists before gouging his eyes. Absorbing this, Castagnoli cracked Moxley’s back against his knee.

The Death Riders exchanged forearms, with Moxley having been bloodied in a brawl beforehand. Castagnoli dizzied his leader with a Giant Swing, wounding him with a Sharpshooter and Crossface. A Bulldog Choke from a crimson-soaked Moxley failed to disorient Castagnoli. The forearm brawl from earlier resumed, seeing Moxley propelling Castagnoli meekly into the commentary desk. Castagnoli swiftly recovered from a cutter, responding with a lariat. Red from Moxley painted the ring, but it didn’t stop him from countering Castagnoli’s attempts with roll-up pin attempts. Castagnoli parted with his elbow pad, but his ensuing lariat was superceded with a double-fisted targeting of his bicep. Moxley, with a Big Stomp and a Rear-Naked choke, tormented his ally. A Guillotine Choke failed to weaken the giant, only suffocating him.

A leaping stomp into a chair aided Castagnoli as he charged Moxley into standing steel steps. One lariat and powerbomb nearly gave the Swiss wrestler the pinfall. Moxley’s Paradigm Shift gave him a momentary comeback. Castagnoli retaliated with a shoulder tackle that sent Moxley down for the count, thus earning him the pinfall.

(Drama drenched this whole match, with a feeling of tragedy for the Death Riders impending throughout. The whole time through, it could’ve gone either way. Furthermore, it feels that Moxley may be usurped at any time soon.)

Final thoughts

The in-ring tonight was excellent. While I wasn’t as high on Okada versus Pac, I was on the edge of my seat for Castagnoli versus Moxley and Knight versus Fletcher. If there won’t be a follow-up with the Dark Order, this episode might lose minor relevance points for that. Nevertheless, the program flowed with near-perfect pace. I love how Eddie Kingston and Samoa Joe’s brief verbal exchange left just enough for another promo battle in the future while simultaneously hyping up their Winter is Coming bout.
