2. Batista Vs. The Undertaker – WrestleMania 23 & Survivor Series 2007
Batista and The Undertaker’s feud in 2007 was unquestionably WWE’s feud of the year. They stole the show at WrestleMania 23 in their World Heavyweight Championship match. They had a “top that” attitude as they were placed in the middle of the card. Nevertheless, the Phenom dethroned Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship in a remarkable wrestling match, extending his WrestleMania unbeaten record to 15-0.
The rivals clashed once again at Survivor Series 2007, this time it was in a Hell in a Cell match for the Animal’s World Heavyweight Championship. Rightfully, they closed out the show as Undertaker prevailed at ‘Mania, but Batista finally beat Undertaker at Cyber Sunday 2007 to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
This was a grudge match with a couple of draws sandwiched in between their ‘Mania and Survivor Series clashes. They hit a home run in one of the best matches of the year. Batista retained the World Heavyweight Championship all thanks to outside interference from Edge.
