For weeks, fans have seen a furious Tommaso Ciampa. He wanted a United States Championship match against Ilja Dragunov three weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown. But he went about it in the worst way possible to Dragunov. Demanding a title shot and insulting Nathan Frazer and Axiom in the process is not how you get an opportunity. The following week, the same thing happened, with Ciampa again denied for his DIY stablemate Johnny Gargano.
If he weren’t going to get the opportunity to get in the ring with Dragunov, he would have to get in the ring with the two men who share the same sentiment with him. Would taking his anger out be helpful in getting a title opportunity, or will he dig himself deeper into a hole he created?
DIY Gets Some Help to Defeat Fraxiom
Things have obviously not gone Ciampa’s way recently. He’s been denied title opportunities twice now, with three people causing his misfortune, at least in his opinion. This has caused him to get a match that has been much anticipated by him. The November 21, 2025, episode of SmackDown featured a bout between DIY and Fraxiom. Frazer and Axiom have the quickness advantage.
But Ciampa is furious at the moment, and Gargano will do anything to protect his tag team partner and friend. Which team would be the winner of this obviously spirited bout? The match started with all four men giving it their all, trying to pin the opposing team.
Neither team gave up, with many pins following each other in quick succession. But there’s one thing that DIY had that Fraxiom didn’t – an extra hand. Candice LeRae always accompanies them to the ring, and in this match played an essential role in the finish. Axiom hit a Spanish Fly on Gargano, which was very effective.
Instead of finishing him off, he hit Ciampa, who climbed onto the ring apron, trying to interfere when he wasn’t the legal man. Frazer dove from the other side of the ring in order to keep him down. That got the ref’s attention, which is when LeRae got involved.
When Axiom was looking at the commotion, LeRae got up and took his mask off. Removing a luchador’s mask unexpectedly is one of the worst mistakes a wrestler can make. Desperately wanting to protect his identity, he covered his face and rolled around on the ground. That allowed Gargano to pin him and get the victory easily.

Things are looking up for DIY, and especially Ciampa, right now. They got both a victory and the mask of Axiom. It’ll be interesting to see where this feud goes from here. Given what took place during the match, this feud is far from over.
