AEW Dynamite Preview (11/26/25) – The Continental Classic Begins

Although AEW Full Gear will be in the rearview mirror, AEW Dynamite from The Pinnacle in Nashville will see the start of the 2025 Continental Classic! Whilst the conclusion of the AEW Men’s World Championship match might be controversial for some fans, we’re likely going to get answers for why HOOK cost Hangman Adam Page the championship.

The Opps intend to celebrate the new AEW World Champion, Samoa Joe. How will Page and Swerve Strickland respond?

Jon Moxley needs to adapt and move on quickly after tapping out twice to Kyle O’Reilly in ten days. His first match in the Continental Classic is a potential hybrid banner. Plus, so much more as both Blue and Gold League matches begin. You can find a breakdown of the Continental Classic competitors here.

Will Moxley’s story arc see the Death Rider leader become a walking tragedy?

Continental Classic

Current Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada, started his reign after defeating triple champion, Eddie Kingston. It was also where this long-term, multi-year story formed. The Rainmaker’s heel characterisation as an ageing star clinging to shortcuts to glory began. Last year, Okada went all the way, despite initial setbacks and doubt.

Looming on the horizon is a potential clash with Don Callis Family stablemate and IWGP World Heavyweight champion, Konosuke Takeshita. However, the Rainmaker’s first round match is against another stablemate, Kyle Fletcher. The former TNT Champion has an axe to grind after losing his TNT Championship. A semi-finalist last year, Fletcher isn’t going to give Okada ground. The potential story of a Don Callis fracture may begin.

Speaking of, Jon Moxley must take on CMLL’s Mascara Dorada. The Death Rider learner always comes back with vicious ferocity after a loss. Yet against a man who can dodge, weave, and fly like air, is a rebound win academic? Or like Okada, is the potential fall from grace building?

Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight will be a banger. I wouldn’t doubt Allin’s ability to weave a compelling story into this aerial assault of a match.

Babes of Wrath vs. Sisters of Sin

The first AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship semi-final match happens on Wednesday. A clash of personalities will see the high-energy and happy Babes of Wrath fight the gothic, horror-inspired duo of Sisters of Sin. Featuring four of the division’s most popular women, and likely still running on the adrenaline of their Blood and Guts and Fall Gear performances, this could be a banger.

Willow Nightingale has the power advantage. Harley Cameron has that eternal underdog deceptiveness. Skye Blue is consistently, whether there is plunder or not, one of the toughest women in the division. Julia Hart continues to defy her age and relatively short experience. It feels like this match could go either way.

Yet, like previous tournament matches, is there likely to be outside interference from Thekla? Or will Jamie Hayter or someone else neutralize the threat posed by the Toxic Spider?

One of the other joys of booking this tournament is that, outside of each bracket match, competitors have interacted to lay the foundations for the next round’s story.  The Timeless Love Bombs still need to name their semi-final stipulation. It’s going to be interesting to see how the winners interact with their finalist opponents.
