What’s Next for the Damian Priest and Aleister Black WWE Blood Feud?

For months now, a tense rivalry has been brewing between Damian Priest and Aleister Black. They’ve gone back and forth with attacking one another. It seemed like their feud was over on the October 10, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. They faced off in a great Last Man Standing match, where Black won. However, Priest didn’t forget his defeat at the hands of Black and his wife, Zelina Vega. Two weeks later, the new United States Champion, Ilja Dragunov, held an open challenge, and Black answered it.

Vega successfully distracted Dragunov by pulling on his leg. But when Black had the advantage, an enraged Priest stared him down, causing Dragunov to get the pinfall victory. Things are far from over between the two men. The question now is what kind of match will be the next entry in their ongoing feud?

A Steel Cage Can Help Priest and Black Let Out Their Anger

Both men have a right to be angry after last Friday’s incident. For Priest, he got a burned eye courtesy of Black throwing a fireball at his face. Black got distracted by him appearing at ringside, causing Dragunov to steal the victory and retain the United States Championship. It seems like both men want to take the fight to the next level. Given their likely reasons behind their anger, it makes total sense. When feuds get to the level that two wrestlers want to take each other out for good, there’s one solution.

A steel cage match will be the perfect match to let their anger out on each other. Weapons are legal in the match, so there’s no need to worry about getting disqualified. The cage can also be used to disadvantage their opponent. A steel cage match will be a fitting subsequent encounter for the two men.

Their Next Match Could Be a Mixed Tag Match

Based on the past couple of weeks, Black and Vega are the newest WWE power couple. Two other power couples recently made headlines. CM Punk and AJ Lee beat Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at WrestlePalooza. Their rivalry was entertaining, and WWE surely liked the chemistry between the two. It seems like they’re hoping the same thing will happen with them. Vega got involved in the United States Championship match, so Black has a numbers advantage.

But Priest has a woman who has always had his back. From their beginnings in the Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley has always looked out for Priest. If Vega keeps getting in his business, there’s no doubt that Ripley will be there to even the odds. A mixed tag match could help Priest avenge the fireball attack by having a friend fighting by his side.

Both Men Will Be Fighting for the Win

Priest and Black have been brawling for months now with no end in sight. They have done backstage segments, called each other out, and even had a Last Man Standing match. That should’ve been the end of their feud. But the actions displayed by them during and since the Last Man Standing match have intensified the feud greatly. The next step for both of them is to let their anger out in another match. They could have a steel cage match. Doing that will give them a way to do anything to each other without fear of disqualification.

But if WWE wants to really push Black and Vega, a good way to counter them is to put Ripley by Priest’s side. Another mixed tag match will show fans the bonds between the pairs. Whatever happens between Priest and Black will surely be exciting to watch for everyone.
