Exclusive Interview – Xia Brookside: “We Are Called TNA Knockouts For a Reason, We Put Everything on The Line”

Xia Brookside takes a huge pride in being a TNA Knockout because the Knockouts put everything on the line when they come to the ring, Last Word on Pro Wrestling can exclusively reveal.

In an interview with Last Word on Pro Wrestling and WorldWide Wrestling, Xia Brookside, one-half of the Angel Warriors, discussed various subjects. This includes the upcoming TNA Turning Point, Léi Ying Lee, the Angel Warriors’ future, her Championship goals, her matches in NXT, as well as what the future holds for him in the company.

Watching but Not Participating in TNA Bound For Glory 2025

“I was absolutely devastated to miss Bound for Glory. I was sick for just over two weeks. It was a nightmare, but I got to watch it all at home, thanks to TNA Plus. So that was great. That was a blessing. It was absolutely incredible. The fact that TNA hit a new attendance record. Every single match was absolutely incredible.

My tag partner was there, Léi Ying Lee. I was gutted that Indi Hartwell didn’t win the TNA Knockouts World Championship, but it was a great pay-per-view all around. I thought everyone absolutely killed it. We filled out that arena. It was great.”

The Angel Warriors, Teaming up with Léi Ying Lee

“I think we came together. Originally, we were kind of just put together, and it just became magic. You know we are so polar opposites. We both bring something completely different to the table, and I think that’s what makes us such a good tag team. Like, Léi Ying Lee is such a hard-hitting, kicking, fighting, just warrior in herself. I bring more of the high-flying, speed, and technicality to it.

It’s growing so fast. We’ve been working together for months. Our relationship is growing. I think that’s what’s going to make us the best tag team, it is just the chemistry that we have and the fact that we are completely different.”

On the Road to the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship

“That would be incredible. That is where we are heading. That’s where we’re aiming to be. We’re training, we’re working together, and we’re getting to know each other better. Everything that we do is building towards going for the Knockouts Tag Team titles. So, that’s definitely a goal. Whether it’s next week, next month, or six months, I don’t know, but that’s where we’re heading. That’s where our eyes are set right now.”

Appearing on NXT for Some Championship Opportunities

“I think so many opportunities have been opened with this (NXT and TNA) partnership, and we’ve had people come in and take our titles. So, I definitely think it’s an option, an opportunity. It’s something that’s out there that’s maybe not written in the stars right now, but it could be. You know, you never know what could happen. One of us could walk away, whether it’s me, or someone else, or some of the guys, even. Nothing is stopping us from going over there and taking their titles, like they did ours.”

Wrestling on NXT

“It wasn’t something that I knew was going to happen. It kind of it’s all just happening, and we’re all kind of trying to keep up and go with the flow. To go back and not only go back for NXT Showdown and the Battle Royale, I went back into the Speed Championship match, which was my debut for NXT.

So, to go from the May Young Classic, sign with NXT UK for 4 years, move out here by myself, figure out a life, sign with TNA, which has been absolutely incredible to me, and then I now still get to go back to NXT. That’s crazy. It’s such an incredible opportunity.”

The TNA Knockouts World Champion, NXT’s Kelani Jordan

“She’s so talented and so deserving. It’s good to see someone representing our brand and the Knockouts so well. I mean, she’s taking that title everywhere she goes. She’s defending it. She’s holding it with all this power and strength, and she’s such an incredible woman that I think it’s a great thing that she’s holding our title right now. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t want it back.”

The Criticism Around Women’s Wrestling and the TNA Knockouts

“At TNA, we’re not just women wrestlers, we’re Knockouts. We’re called Knockouts for a reason, and it’s because we put everything on the line when we go out there. Alicia Edwards just did that hardcore match with the guys, went through pins, and almost got 450ed on. Then, I did a Monsters’ Ball match with Rosemary.

Like, we are going out there killing ourselves to prove ourselves to say we are just as good as the guys. And I think every single Knockout does that. Every woman in NXT as well.”

The Definition of the TNA Knockouts

“We’re not afraid of anything. Put any opportunity in front of us, and we’re going to take it and run with it. We put everything on the line. We are there for each other. It’s the most supportive locker room you’ve ever been in. And everyone, it’s a family. The Knockouts are a family, and they’ve helped me grow every single day that I’ve been with them. We push each other, whether good or bad. We push each other to excel, to lift up each other every minute.

There’s power in sisterhood, being a family, but also pushing each other. We beat the living daylights out of each other. We push each other hard in the ring. It’s a family, and we’re Knockouts.”
