Mike Santana Brings the TNA World Title Back Home at TNA Bound For Glory 2025

The “Trick-NA” era is over. Mike Santana tonight put an end to Trick Williams’s 140-day reign as the TNA World Champion when he defeated the NXT wrestler in a historic match. Santana brought the title back home, to the iMPACT Zone. His “Path of Purpose” will now be to retain it.

Mike Santana, a former 4-time TNA World Tag Team Champion with LAX, was determined to win, as shown in his Road For Glory segments. Supported by his late father, his beloved daughter, his friend and former TNA Legend Amazing Red, and his former LAX mentor, Konnan, Mike Santana succeeded in turning his past addictions into the best possible fuel, becoming a Champion and a hero. He bowed down to his daughter and gave her the belt in a beautiful moment.

After Team 3D left their boots in the ring, a sign of the end of their career, the crowd was shocked, and it was hard for Santana and Williams to follow. As in 2017, Santana arrived with his LAX mentor, Konnan. The match was a bit rough; Trick Williams was more than determined to use every trick in his bag to retain. He even came with a lawyer.

When Santana finally pinned Williams, the two Call Your Shot Gauntlet Winners, Nic Nemeth and Frankie Kazarian, tried to cash in. The returning Elijah smashed a guitar on Nemeth’s head when Kazarian failed to cash in. Just rid of Williams, Santana will have a lot to do in the coming weeks, with Nemeth, Kazarian, and possibly Elijah asking for a title match.
