WWE SmackDown Results (9/26/25):
- SmackDown opens with a video package recapping the events from last Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza. We go back to the ring, and “The Oracle” Paul Heyman was already in the squared circle, proceeding to badmouth Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, ahead of his showdown with his pupil, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, at WWE Crown Jewel Perth. Heyman taunted the WWE Universe, asking them, “What do they want to talk about?” OTC chants rain over the Kia Center, with Heyman addressing and saying he did not want to speak about Roman Reigns, as he doesn’t want to talk about the “injured and battered.” Paul proceeded to talk about the situation with Brock Lesnar. But before he can continue, Cody Rhodes would enter the arena. Rhodes would question Heyman’s motives, asking if he was talking to the “Oracle,” “Wiseman,” or “Advocate,” essentially telling everyone he could not be trusted. The Vision, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker would enter the Kia Arena. Cody Rhodes would recognize the potential of Breakker, hearing all the talks about him being the “next big thing,” with Heyman pushing this narrative. Rhodes would go on to say that he probably tells everyone that, including Reed, and that he uses people until he can’t use them anymore. A fight would break out between The Vision and Cody Rhodes. The Undisputed WWE Champion would get overwhelmed. Fortunately, his friend, Randy Orton, would come to his aid.
- The Street Profits come out, ready to enter battle against Melo, Don’t Miz in a WWE Tag Team Championship number one contender’s match. The Profits controlled most of the match. However, Melo Don’t Miz had one single window to win it all. Carmelo Hayes would hit the First 48 on Montez Ford, and climbed the ropes to set up for Nothing But Net. The Miz would try to steal the glory once again, tagging himself before Melo could execute the maneuver. The two had a heated exchange as Ford reached Angelo Dawkins to tag him in. Dawkins and Ford would go to work, with the former hitting the Skyhigh, followed by a patented Ford Frog Splash for the win. Melo had the chance to break it up, but chose not to. Post-match, The Wyatt Sicks stood on the announcer’s table, issuing a warning to the new number one contenders.
- Next, Women’s U.S. Champion Giulia and Kiana James team up to square off against B-FAB and Michin. It was a tense tag team affair, with B-FAB and Michin taking Giulia and Kiana James to the limit. Michin had this in the bag, hitting Eat Defeat on James. Kiana would stumble to her corner, allowing Giulia to make the blind tag, immediately hitting an unsuspecting Michin with the Arrivederci Knee, followed up by a Northern Lights Bomb to win it for her team.
- After a crushing defeat last Saturday night, Drew McIntyre came out to the ring sporting a brace on his right leg. In classic McIntyre fashion, Drew would blame everyone else for his loss at Wrestlepalooza, calling himself a “world champion without the championship.” SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis would try to plead with McIntyre to let it go. Of course, Drew did not do that, leading to Aldis just throwing his hands up, giving up, and walking away. Another person who’s sick of McIntyre’s whining would come out: Jacob Fatu. The former U.S. Champion stated that McIntyre should “stop b*tching,” as everyone is sick of all his nonsense. Fatu would get a Glasgow Kiss for his efforts. Fatu would soon recover, pulling McIntyre’s brace off and beating him with it.
- Sami Zayn defends the United States Championship in another U.S. Open Challenge against a big-time WWE NXT up-and-comer. Zayn fought for his life tonight, coming oh so close to losing the United States Championship. Sami Zayn was on the ropes for this one, but a Blue Thunder Bomb would notch him his fourth successful title defense in a month.
- For the main event of the evening, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defends against Jade Cargill and Nia Jax in an anything goes Triple Threat Match. As expected, all participants involved fought tooth and nail to claim the Women’s Championship, with Cargill sacrificing life and limb, getting busted open during the match. Unfortunately, Cargill’s efforts still weren’t enough; Stratton would scale the ropes and hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to retain. Post-match, WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer would make a statement ahead of her showdown with Stratton at WWE Crown Jewel Perth, getting in the face of Tiffany and hoisting up her newly-won crown to end the night.
That’s all for REAL-TIME WWE SmackDown results for September 26, 2025, as it happened live from Orlando, Florida.
