Punk vs. Reigns vs. Rollins - An Inevitable WrestleMania 41 Match

CM Punk and Seth Rollins: The Path Forward in WWE in 2025 (and 2026)

The CM Punk and Seth Rollins rivalry is not finished yet. Following their explosive encounter at WWE SummerSlam, experts and speculators are already hypothesizing how things will unfold over time. It could be the marquee matchup at WWE WrestleMania 42 come 2026. Paul Heyman is now standing with Rollins, and the rumor mill is heating up that a bigger, more powerful faction will center around the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. So the stakes have never been higher.

Genesis of The Vision

Seth Rollins and his group on WWE Raw have been so effective, as they’ve been merciless when taking down opponents. Up to today, they ran under no formal name, but that all changed this past Monday night. “The Vision” was unveiled as the faction’s name, and it’s perfect in combination with the character of Rollins, as well as the mission Rollins has been spouting out over the past few months.

With Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed looking unstoppable during Rollins’ absence, WWE is positioning this group to mirror successful units, such as Evolution, The Shield, and the classic WCW group, The Dangerous Alliance. A new era is going to be earmarked by their dominance, where Rollins establishes himself not only as a champion but as the architect of Monday Night Raw.

CM Punk vs Seth Rollins: Plans, Survivor Series: WarGames

There’s always talk circulating about an all-out WarGames match at Survivor Series every year, which could end up being The Vision vs. a CM Punk-led team at the November 2025 iteration. If that’s the case, CM Punk will likely go to the depths of his Rolodex of friends, as he may enlist elite names to counter the powerhouse team of Rollins. Punk has his pick of the litter, with Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn among the many choices that he could bring into battle with him.

If Karrion Kross is still with WWE at that point, it could be a way to elevate the star, not only helping prolong the Rollins and Punk feud, but also getting someone over.

WrestleMania 42 and Beyond

Whether Punk and Rollins will see each other in the ring again is not the hot topic now, but when they will have the confrontation. However, the ultimate end goal for the two men would be at WrestleMania 42 in 2026. Punk could end up winning the Royal Rumble, or even the Elimination Chamber, for a more challenging road to the title. Maybe Punk jumps through more hoops and pulls off a “KofiMania” type of deal to reach Rollins.

Regardless of the path forward, this rivalry is already legendary, marked by years of betrayal, psychological battles, and stakes as high as the matches themselves. Could this potential bout at WrestleMania be as legendary as replicating the famous showdown between Austin vs. The Corporation or Cena vs. Punk? Only time will tell.

Building “The Vision” faction is an excellent strategy on the part of Rollins, keeping Punk away from him for the time being and maintaining the freshness of their eventual encounter. Also, being paired with Heyman makes them instantly credible as a faction, and throwing in the upstarts like Bron Breakker and Reed solidifies their long-time dominance, as well as the potential to expand further.

CM Punk, however, lives in underdog conditions. It is not only the titles; this is about control, ego, and legacy. WWE may have its next blockbuster feud lined up to race till 2026.
