WWE Raw Preview (8/12/25): Three Matches Including World Title Defense Set for Next Week

WWE Raw preview for next week is already shaping up to be a great show as WWE announced three matches for the card, including a women’s world championship title defense.

WWE Raw Recap (8/4/25)

On tonight’s Raw, WWE began advancing storylines for Clash in Paris. Becky Lynch seems to have her PLE challenger in Nikki Bella whereas a rematch of Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles (perhaps in a triple threat or fatal 4way) seems likely following Styles’ declaration he’s not done pursuing the title. SmackDown saw its tag titles defended at SummerSlam and from the looks of it, Raw’s tag title scene will take center stage this time around.

Then there’s the world title picture. This week, Seth Rollins and his faction stood tall with stomps to LA Knight, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk. It seems likely Rollins will defend the title against one of these men at Clash. It seems too early to do Rollins/Reigns or Rollins/Punk however as those feel destined for a big four PLE. However, Knight has a case given he only lost on Monday thanks to interference from Punk. On the women’s side, Stephanie Vaquer has her guaranteed shot but who it’s against remains to be seen following the announcement made on tonight’s Raw.

You can read the full results and recap from tonight here.

WWE Raw Preview and Card (8/12/25)

  • Sami Zayn vs Rusev: Sami Zayn found himself caught between a rock and a hard place or rather a Rusev and a Sheamus. He was backstage giving an interview when he found himself in the middle of Rusev and Sheamus’ showlong brawl. Zayn got involved and shortly after it was announced that he’d be taking on Rusev on the 8/12 show.
  • Becky Lynch vs Maxxine Dupri: Becky Lynch insulted Nikki Bella and Natalya didn’t like that. So she challenged Lynch to a match next week to which Lynch accepted…She only had one condition, that the match be against Dupri not Natalya.
  • Women’s World Championship – Naomi vs IYO SKY: IYO SKY asked for and was granted a one-on-one rematch and it was announced for the 8/12 show. Naomi promised she’d beat SKY continuing to build toward her Clash in Paris showdown with Vaquer.
