John Cena to Compete at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena winds down his dates with another bout at Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025 that the WWE Universe will certainly look forward to. After the events of WWE Backlash St. Louis in his match against Randy Orton, wherein Orton was going in for the kill with a Punt Kick, but was unfortunately stopped by R-Truth.

For his efforts, R-Truth got the beatdown of a lifetime from his “Childhood Hero” John Cena. On this week’s SmackDown, R-Truth would voice out his opinions regarding the actions of John Cena, informing the WWE Universe that he had already spoken to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis about a potential match between him and John Cena.

To Aldis’ credit, he heard the pleas of R-Truth and booked the match to happen at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025, R-Truth, talking to Wade Barrett in an interview, stated that he wants to get through to Cena before it’s too late, and if he can’t, nobody probably will.

On the John Cena Retirement Tour, R-Truth gets his shot against the man he idolized and respected for a long time.
