When AEW Dynamite returns to Norfolk, Virginia, don’t expect there to be much love in the air. Unless, perhaps, we get more between Harleygram and Beast Mortos. That’s still happening, right?
For some, it might be an evening of satisfaction—getting revenge on old friends or new enemies, taking one step towards such goals, and finding redemption or self-fulfillment. It could also be an evening for laughter, when basking in the glow of victory and asserting dominance.
Maybe even a night for old wounds to be addressed between former enemies and/or friends. Or for new alliances finalized. With MJF and The Hurt Syndicate scheduled to talk, there is likely going to be another interaction.
What else can The Salt of the Earth offer to Bobby Lashley to get that thumbs up? While many are enjoying their interactions, the underlined misogyny of two weeks ago lingers. Elsewhere, with all four former original Elite members in action, is there a chance their separate stories meet at the crossroads once again?

All-Star Tag Action
Right now, the AEW multi-man format is delivering fire. It’s reminiscent of that fabled time, when The Feeling reigned. It’s more than the combination of eight elite but distinct personalities.
More than the combinations of characters, team-ups, and infinite possibilities. It’s the story within the story that makes them more than purposeful.
For AEW International Champion Kenny Omega, this is the first time he has stood as an opponent to The Young Bucks since Revolution 2020. This is the first time Okada and Omega will be in the ring with each other since 2018. The moment these men and former allies come face to face may pop the crowd.
Adding Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight does more than provide this match with another opportunity to be outstanding after their banger against The Young Bucks last week. Clearly, something is brewing with Ricochet and the pair. Ricochet might find himself either at odds with his teammates or just as narcissistic.
We’re going to laugh, be in awe, surprised. Maybe all the feels.
Owen Hart Tournament Semi-Final
Kyle Fletcher wants to not just win the Owen Hart Tournament but also stop Will Ospreay from winning. Only then will he have satisfaction. The loss to Ospreay in their cage match at Revolution still stings. The Protostar has more than momentum on his side, but we’ll touch on that shortly.
Home state boy, Hangman Adam Page, is promising Fletcher tough love. The Hangman slowly seems to be finding some balance in terms of his morality in the ring.
It’s been a while since the belt around his waist has been used to strangle an opponent in his justified haze of retribution. Against Josh Alexander at Spring BreakThru, we saw The Hangman leap from the stage, across fans, to hit a devastating lariat.
Both men are at their peaks in the ring and with their current character guises. Yet, while it may seem like this is Page’s to win, Jamie Hayter landed an upset victory with Kris Statlander last week.
With The Don Callis Family, potentially in his corner, Fletcher might hold the trump cards. Again, it might be where support comes from.
