Before WWE WrestleMania 41 Saturday, NXT put on their Stand & Deliver event. This took place at the T-Mobile Arena, and the Countdown Show included a fatal four-way tag team elimination match to crown the new number one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
No. 1 Contendership Match at NXT Stand & Deliver
The four teams involved were Meta-Four’s Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson, Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley, Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley, and Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade. As this was an elimination match, each team would get eliminated one by one until just one remained.
The action was intense from the beginning and set the pace for the entire show. All four teams put on a great show before the eliminations began. The first team to be eliminated was Meta-Four. Thereafter, Perez left Jade to fend for herself, thus leading to Jade being eliminated.
Dolin and Paxley showcased their tag team prowess, and they ultimately picked up the victory.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship is currently held by The Judgement Day’s Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The pair is set to defend the titles against Lyra Valkyria and Bayley at WrestleMania 41 Sunday. Whoever wins there will then have to defend gold against Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley on the post-Stand & Deliver edition of NXT on April 22.
