TNA iMPACT features Edwards and Maclin

TNA iMPACT! Preview (04/10/2025)

TNA Wrestling has never been more on fire. Last week’s episode set the tone for epic encounters at Unbreakable and Rebellion. A new TNA title has been announced, the first International Champion will be crowned at Unbreakable. The first three qualifying matches were announced last week and The System earned two chances to prevail.

Rebellion-wise, Joe Hendry will have to defend the TNA World Championship against Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page. El Hijo del Vikingo is coming back to TNA and will take part in a huge Ultimate-X Match in which Moose will have to defend against five talents, including Vikingo, Leon Slater, and Matt Cardona.

As we are now on the Road to Rebellion, one of TNA’s “Big Four” PPVs, taking place on April 27, with a brief stop in Las Vegas on April 17 for Unbreakable, the question marks are turning into a load of exclamation points. Let’s call them Milan Miracles.

TNA iMPACT airs on AXS TV at 8/7c. Here’s our full preview for TNA iMPACT.

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

Steve Maclin battles Eddie Edwards this Thursday on iMPACT. With Edwards forcing The System to choose sides, and Maclin carving his own path away from Eric Young and The Northern Armory—one major statement victory is up for grabs when these two collide on TNA iMPACT!

The heated rivalry between Mance Warner and Sami Callihan boils over in the opening match of the TNA International Championship Tournament, as Callihan looks to destroy Warner. With A.J. Francis and KC Navarro in the mix, only one will advance to Unbreakable.

After last week’s pull-apart brawl, tensions between Leon Slater and Ryan Nemeth are boiling over. Slater, one of the most exciting names in the game and a confirmed participant in Ultimate X at Rebellion, is looking to shut Nemeth up once and for all. But Nemeth is desperate to climb the ranks. With egos and opportunity colliding, someone’s getting humbled this Thursday on iMPACT!

Cody Deaner stepped up and called out Moose, and now it’s time to put up or shut up. The X-Division Champion and System frontman has everything to lose, especially with Ultimate X at TNA Rebellion looming. If Deaner can pull off the upset, it could shatter Moose’s momentum and shake The System to its core.

Mustafa Ali’s revolution continues to spread like wildfire. Backed by The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz, Ali has the numbers, the message, and a terrifying new edge. Just last week, he psychologically broke Santana by pushing one of his closest friends into relapse. But now he faces Ace Austin—a former X-Division Champion with nothing to lose and everything to prove. Can Austin stop Ali’s wave of destruction?

The Rascalz are back and hungry for gold. After months of chaos in the tag division, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz are aiming to get back into the TNA World Tag Team Title picture. But The System’s JDC and Brian Myers stand in their way—and with internal fractures threatening their unity, this is a must-win for The System. Can The Rascalz exploit the cracks or will JDC & Myers reestablish their dominance?

The Nygma’s View

A triple shocker in this preview. The first is positive as no segment was announced. The second is negative as not one women’s match is on the card. The third is the fact that The System is in three out of the six matches announced. Every member of the faction has a match this week.

Sami Callihan voluntarily switched his qualifying spot with Zachary Wentz to face Mance Warner again. It’s a good and a bad thing at the same time. Good because I told you many times the Warner/Callihan war was far from over, and bad because their rage will probably cost them the title chance.

Leon Slater is facing Ryan Nemeth. The youngest TNA main-eventer ever was not very pleased to see Nemeth make fun of The Hardys last week and he made it heard. Slater is a huge fan and a close protector of the TNA Tag Team Champions. The younger Nemeth brother may get weakened in this match and lower the chances for him and his big brother Nic to dethrone the Hardys at Rebellion.

Mustafa Ali may face Ace Austin this week, we all know who his target is. Also, Mustafa Ali will not come alone to the ring, as The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz will be by his side. The fate of the match is uncertain but expect Santana to appear. I’m so looking forward to seeing the Santana vs. Ali match made for Rebellion, with a stipulation, please…

When it comes to The System, every faction member will be in the ring this week, showing they are more united than ever. Before the first-round match at Unbreakable, Eddie Edwards and Steve Maclin will go one-on-one. Maclin’s chances are shadowed by his decision not to join Eric Young and The Northern Armory. Young is very revengeful…

JDC and Brian Myers are teaming up against The Rascalz. Wentz and Trey made clear that they want to be taken seriously as Tag Team Championship contenders. Defeating former Champions would help them secure a title chance soon.
