New WWE Double Champion Crowned at NXT Roadblock

New WWE Double Champion Crowned at NXT Roadblock

At WWE NXT Roadblock, a new double champion was crowned. This came as a result of the champion-versus-champion winner-takes-all match between NXT Women’s Champion Giulia and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Here is how it all went down.

#ANDNEW: Stephanie Vaquer Becomes Double Champion at NXT Roadblock

Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have maintained a respectful relationship since they both arrived to NXT, perhaps even a friendship. Giulia has served as the NXT Women’s Champion since New Year’s Evil on January 7. Vaquer, on the other hand, captured the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Vengeance Day on February 15.

Following Vaquer’s successful first title defense on the February 25 edition of NXT, Giulia claimed to be the greatest champion in NXT. The two agreed to decide that in a match, and that was set for NXT Roadblock.

The match between Giulia and Vaquer was a dynamic and hard-hitting affair. The two gave it all that they had, and it ultimately resulted in Vaquer picking up the win. Giulia’s reign as the NXT Women’s Champion comes to an end at 63 days, tying with Charlotte Flair for the third-shortest reign in the title’s reign.

With her victory at NXT Roadblock, Vaquer becomes the first women’s double champion in NXT history. Whilst she extends her 19-day reign as the NXT Women’s North American Champion, she becomes the 22nd holder of the NXT Women’s Championship.
