Prior to this week, Alexandra Williams of WWE was probably not a name familiar to most. However, a few days ago Williams was revealed as the creative force behind the opening of WWE Monday Night Raw this week.
On Monday Night Raw, CM Punk cut a blistering promo that he referred to as his ‘State of the Union’ address. In the promo, Punk eviscerated John Cena and the Rock, and was about to do the same to Seth Rollins before his music hit and the two brawled throughout the stadium. As the master of the pipebomb, it may come as a surprise to know that Punk had a producer for that WWE segment: Alexandra Williams.
Who is Alexandra Williams WWE Producer?
According to her LinkedIn profile, Alexandra Williams, also known as Alex, graduated with a BA in Theater TV and Film from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. She actually broke into the entertainment industry as a ballet dancer and boxer. She started out as a stunt actress as she transitioned into a career in film and television where she wrote, produced, and acted in short films including Awful Pretty. Williams received the Best Female Filmmaker Award at IndieFest in addition to six other first place awards at various worldwide festivals for the film. Williams has worked for a variety of film and TV companies, including Wind Dancer Films, Melrose Hill Entertainment, Silver Creek Falls Entertainment, Inc., Radiant Films International, Jet Propulsion, LLC, and Tam O’Shanter Productions. In addition to her work on and off the screen, Williams is also a ballroom dance world champion.
With a background in boxing, dancing, and stunt acting, it is unsurprising Alexandra Williams made her way to the WWE in 2020. She began as a producer/writer for Monday Night Raw and in February 2024, was elevated to senior producer/writer status. At this time, she also began writing and producing under the TKO umbrella, where she has contributed to creative for Raw and premium live events.
Most of the time, fans don’t learn the names of the producers of segments, but this week, Fightful Select revealed that Williams was the one behind Punk’s latest masterpiece, which some are saying is his best since he returned to WWE. According to Select, Williams is a rising star in the company (she is credited with being the producer of John Cena’s promo on Raw’s Netflix debut) and it’s no surprise internally, her work with Punk is getting massive praise both backstage and among fans.
