We are on the cusp of the final stop on the road to WrestleMania. The PLE has maintained a monopoly over the February PLE spot for a while now, and it’s not changing with this Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2025: Toronto.
It has become an important piece to the WrestleMania puzzle and has usually been a well-stacked show. Also, it doesn’t hurt that the headline match is a gimmick that every fan enjoys watching.
This year’s edition of the show only boasts four matches, but each one of them carries its intrigue. Their outcome will have a huge influence on what is going to take place in WWE programming over the next two months. Also, there is a very interesting segment planned where we will see how much Cody Rhodes values his soul.
With all these things going on this Saturday, WWE Elimination Chamber 2025: Toronto, it’s easy to find some great reasons to make sure your television is tuned to Netflix.
The Elimination Chamber Matches Themselves
The Elimination Chamber has become one of the more recognizable WWE gimmick matches. It is one of the few to maintain its PLE status and has been home to some great moments in the history of the company.
Most of the history of the match quality has been positive. There have been a few big stinkers here and there, but for the most part, the Elimination Chamber has presented a fun match.
There are going to be some great spots with the pods and the steel grating, which will be a huge draw for the contest. It’s a match that we only get to see once a year, and both men’s and women’s contests have an impressive lineup to keep these matches from being great to being fantastic in quality.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens Could Destroy One Another
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens produce gold when they are around each other. Whether paired up or against one another, they have the chemistry to make any angle they must see. The one that has continued from the Royal Rumble has been at the top of the list.
The hatred between these two men may never be at its highest. Kevin Owen’s feeling of betrayal had driven him to extreme lengths, and his promos have been amazing. Zayn has been no slouch in his retorts, bringing an intensity that is only saved for the biggest of programs.
Owens and Zayn put on great matches, but that is a given. This one is going to be different. The hatred is more intense than it ever has been, and the unsanctioned gimmick will allow both men to go to whichever length they feel necessary.
We will see a new level of violence in this match as both men seek their measure of revenge.
What Will Transpire Between The Final Boss and The WWE Champion
The Rock, making his return, was slightly out of left field. He was going to be off WWE programming due to a scheduling conflict and his return presents all sorts of interesting options for the Final Boss.
His segment with Cody Rhodes was confusing and foreboding. There was an insincere nature to The Rock’s delivery that made their impending meet-up one that everyone should be watching. There is a heel leaning to the entire thing as The Rock is requesting Cody’s soul.
WWE could play this one of two ways, with Cody agreeing to be a corporate champion or Cody spitting the offer back at The Final Boss. Either way, it is a result that will have long-reaching implications for how the WWE Championship match will pan out at Wrestlemania.
The Picture For WrestleMania Will Begin To Focus
This is the last show before WrestleMania. As much as there has been some clarity as to what the card will look like there are still many unknowns surrounding the big matches.
Specifically, the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, does not have a challenger. This is something that will be rectified on Saturday, but it is also something that could go one of various ways.
The obvious choices are CM Punk or John Cena, but who knows if WWE decides to swerve the world at the last minute. There are a lot of questions surrounding the outcome of Saturday’s main event.
Outside of the men’s chamber match, the Women’s World Championship picture will come into focus, and we will see if Trish Stratus will play a bigger role in the WWE Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania. Many questions will have their answers after Saturday.
Is There A Surprise Or Two To Be Had?
WWE loves to bust out a surprise or two at the bigger shows. Returning wrestlers is a great way to achieve this surprise and guarantee a darn big pop from the crowd. This Saturday is their last chance to drum up more excitement for WrestleMania by bringing back some fan favorites and putting them into big angles.
Randy Orton and Becky Lynch are the two big surprise returns that could be happening this weekend. Kevin Owens and Orton have a history, and the outcome of the Owens/Zayn match could be the perfect opportunity for The Viper to make his presence known and rekindle his issues with Kevin Owens.
Becky Lynch is another interesting option for a return. She has renewed with WWE, and many thought a Royal Rumble return was on the horizon. With that show past only WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 remains if she wishes to jump into a WrestleMania program. There is a distinct possibility that Lynch will insert herself somewhere this weekend.
