Why Alexa Bliss is the Missing Piece of The Wyatt Sicks

Why Alexa Bliss is the Missing Piece of The Wyatt Sicks

The February 7, 2025 episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw the in-ring return of Alexa Bliss. She participated in the Royal Rumble the Saturday prior, but this was her first one-on-one action since going on maternity leave.

By defeating Candice LeRae, she qualified for the Elimination Chamber on March 1. But that wasn’t the only noteworthy thing about her return. During the match, some static flickered across the screen.

Viewers know that is a sign for the Wyatt Sicks, a group that Bliss has long been speculated to join. Given her deep association with Bray Wyatt before his passing, it makes sense as to why that partnership was teased.

Some fans want Bliss to return to her less spooky personality, leaving them behind. However, there are valid reasons as to why she should join the Wyatt Sicks and make the group stronger than they were before.

Alexa Bliss Deserves to Continue Bray Wyatt’s Story

When the COVID pandemic hit in 2020, WWE was forced to stop touring, making their home in the Thunderdome. During that year and a half, there were a lot of memorable moments. One of the highlights of that time was the pairing of Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt.

The two worked well together with tremendous chemistry. The pair broke up when Wyatt got released in the summer of 2021 but those same teases happened when he returned a year later. One of her last appearances came with Uncle Howdy interrupting her.

WWE has the perfect opportunity to honor his memory by continuing his story with someone he was very close to. There were obviously plans to have the three of them interact with each other before she left for maternity leave. Having Alexa Bliss join the Wyatt Sicks would be the greatest way to honor her friend.

Her Dark Character is Very Popular

Even though there are some people who don’t like it, wrestlers with dark presentations seem to be popular with fans. Alexa Bliss falls into that category, with her transition from happy to sinister working out for her.

She has said many times in interviews that her character work since her partnership with Wyatt has been her favorite. Working with him was a joy for her, with many fans echoing that sentiment. Her doll, Lilly, sold quickly when it was posted on the WWE Shop when it made its way onto WWE programming.

When she came back at the Royal Rumble, she had a new version of the Lilly doll and a jacket honoring Wyatt’s memory. If WWE wasn’t confident in that character, she wouldn’t have been presented that way. Alexa Bliss loves her dark character, with the company and fans definitely in agreement.

Alexa Bliss Uniting with The Wyatt Sicks Would Make a Perfect Match

The Wyatt Sicks came into the WWE with much fanfare and hype. However, their return hasn’t gone according to plan.

By only feuding with other factions and moving to SmackDown less than eight months after their debut, fans are starting to doubt their effectiveness. But now, with Alexa Bliss in the picture, they have the opportunity to prove their doubters wrong.

Before she left for maternity leave, she was teasing a storyline with Uncle Howdy. Alongside her association with Wyatt, the continuation of that storyline can certainly help the Wyatt Sicks gain back the viewers’ trust.

It will also reunite her with her long-time tag team partner Nikki Cross, something that has also been on the mind of fans. Alexa Bliss has the opportunity to turn the Wyatt Sicks’ fortunes around by joining them and making them a legitimate threat to the rest of the SmackDown roster.
