Finn Balor – Fraying Relationship with The Judgment Day, End of a Great WWE Faction?

Once upon a time, the Judgment Day were one big happy family in WWE. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were still with the group. Carlito, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh helped the group dominate in the ring. Most importantly, Finn Balor was pleased with the group.

But ever since SummerSlam, when he betrayed Priest and Liv Morgan took Dom and the Women’s World Championship away from Ripley, he has grown increasingly frustrated with everyone.

They have lost many important titles and matches all across the board, making his disappointment valid. He seemed to reach his breaking point on Monday Night Raw, accusing Dom of stealing his tag team partner and injuring him. However, Dom got him an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Seth Rollins, sparing his rage.

But if things go wrong and he loses, the relationship between Finn Balor and the Judgment Day could come to a permanent end.

Finn Balor Sees a Failing Faction in Need of Help

When Finn Balor joined the Judgment Day, their first order of business was to kick Edge out. Ever since that night, the group transformed into a dominant force on Monday Night Raw.

At one point in early 2024, Balor and Priest were World Tag Team Champions, Ripley was the Women’s World Champion, and Priest was the Money in the Bank contract holder, which he cashed in to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania XL. Now, no one in the group has any titles they can defend.

To Balor, he isn’t trying to be mean. He’s accurately calling out the losing that is going on in the group. They used to be dominant, and he clearly remembers that. If they can get on the same page and start to win, Finn Balor can certainly get credit for getting the Judgment Day back on track.

The Majority of the Group Doesn’t Seem To Like Listening to Him

Ever since Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio got together, they have given the rest of the group the cold shoulder. Alongside Raquel Rodriguez, the three have split off from the others. It was established early on that the group didn’t have a leader. Despite that, after Priest’s expulsion from the group, Balor takes on that role without anyone’s confirmation.

The tension, to those three, isn’t because of the losing. It’s because Balor is ordering everyone around and getting frustrated at the littlest of mistakes.

They used to act like a family, with everyone getting a say in what was going on. But to the majority of the Judgment Day, that whole idea is out the window. They feel like Finn Balor’s advice and behaviour are causing problems, which could be a big factor in whether or not he remains on Judgment Day.

The Match Against Seth Rollins Could Be Tied to Balor’s Future

Finn Balor has one of the most important matches of his career coming up. If he can beat Seth Rollins, he will earn a spot in the Elimination Chamber on March 1.

He gets a main event spot at WrestleMania 41 if he can be the last man standing. If he wins at Mania, that could be the boost that the group needs to become dominant again. A championship title in the hands of one of them will definitely improve their morale. But that’s if he beats Rollins.

If he doesn’t, it’s obvious that he’s not going to be happy. Will he blame himself for the loss if that happens, or will he lash out once again at his faction for not helping him win? Everyone will be watching that qualifying match, as Finn Balor’s future with the Judgment Day could depend on its result.
