Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu Bound for WWE WrestleMania?

Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu Bound for WWE WrestleMania?

On January 25, 2025, WWE held its first Saturday Night’s Main Event special in 2025. Filled with lots of great action and cameos from legends, it was special for a lot of reasons. One of those reasons was the match between Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu.

Two strongmen who demolished even the strongest of opponents were finally facing off against each other. But what we got was something even more impactful than a regular match. Fatu immediately went on the offensive, slamming Strowman on the announce table. When he got him in the ring, he started slamming his head against the ring post via running knees.

He did that a few times, with the bell signaling a disqualification. Fatu bloodied Strowman after multiple knees to the face and jumping splashes. It’s clear that this feud is not over, and a decisive match should happen in Las Vegas at WrestleMania for multiple reasons.

Braun Strowman Deserves His WrestleMania Moment with Fans

One of the central storylines regarding the World Heavyweight Championship last year was that Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 without fans in attendance, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The same thing happened with Braun Strowman and the WWE Universal Championship.

Putting this match on the card would give him his WrestleMania moment with fans inside the stadium. Letting Fatu shine on WWE’s biggest stage with his help can do wonders for both of their careers. Even though Fatu is clearly the man going over, Strowman still has to do his part to get him there.

Putting over one of the hottest new wrestlers in the company will be remembered for years to come when people talk about his legacy. With this move, Braun Strowman has his first solo ‘Mania match with fans and Jacob Fatu can show everyone why he’s a big part of WWE’s future.

Jacob Fatu Can Truly Unleash His Full Potential

For years, people have wanted to see Jacob Fatu in WWE. He was one of the hottest acts on the independent circuit, winning championships and wowing everyone who saw him. When he did arrive, he was as good as advertised, almost immediately winning the WWE Tag Team Championships with Tama Tonga.

However, he only had one prior singles match, winning against Jey Uso. Getting him away from the tag division, while building up a ‘Mania match against Strowman, could unlock his full potential. This would also allow him to compete for singles gold, which many fans would love to see.

To get a title shot, a wrestler has to fight someone powerful. Facing off against Braun Strowman at WrestleMania could make Jacob Fatu’s stock as a singles wrestler go way up, allowing him to be the singles star that made him a hot commodity in the first place.

Both Men Can Collaborate For a Special Match

On paper, this match may look predictable. The dominant veteran who has destroyed people for years against the younger man who displays the same characteristics. However, this match is so much more.

Strowman has gone through so much since his title win. He got released, suffered through the death of two of his best friends, and sustained multiple injuries since coming back. Giving him that WrestleMania moment in front of fans is what he deserves.

Fatu has a chance to legitimize himself as a star against Strowman. He was one of the most hyped independent signings in the history of the company but has shown his true power in short instances. Giving him fifteen to twenty minutes to showcase his skills can only help him.

Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu can put on a great match at WrestleMania that can benefit both their careers in a huge way.
