WWE 2K25 Gets its First Cover Star with Announcement of Deadman Edition

While fans wait with bated breath for Monday Night Raw on Monday and seemingly a big announcement as it relates to WWE 2K25, information about the new game continues to trickle in including the announcement of the WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition, set to feature the Undertaker on the cover.

WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition

In a post on X, WWE revealed that the first cover star of the game series will be the Undertaker, noting that the WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition is coming as part of WWE’s 2K25 collection. While it is unknown what features will be part of the WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition, one such element will likely be a showcase mode revolving around the Undertaker. This is not the first time the Undertaker has been featured on a primary or alternate cover of a WWE video game. The Deadman has appeared on 19 previous covers (not including this one), dating back to WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role. The Undertaker also graced a special edition cover for the first-ever WWE game under the 2K banner, appearing on the front of the Phenom Edition. No one has appeared on more covers than the man, the myth, the legend himself.

The Undertaker is one of the most legendary WWE superstars of all time so it’s no surprise to see him gracing another cover and factoring into another video game. Since the Phenom Edition in 2013, Undertaker has retired, but before doing so, had some final incredible matches including against Brock Lesnar, Bray Wyatt, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Triple H, Goldberg, and AJ Styles to name a few. There is plenty left to explore in his showcase edition.

Over the last three cycles of WWE2K, games have been released in mid-March and it is expected this game will follow that same timeline.  2K’s website has pointed to January 28th as the day for the big reveal, which could mean a full trailer along with a release date for the much-anticipated game. Perhaps even more information on the WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition.
