A photo of Jade Cargill, the newest signee of WWE SmackDown.

The WWE Universe is less than two weeks away from witnessing the spectacle that is WrestleMania 40. With the “grandest stage of them all” fast approaching, this week’s WWE SmackDown looks to build up the ante and make this year’s ‘Mania one of, if not, the best the company has ever put on.

On the latest iteration of WWE’s Friday night show, one of the best prospects in all of sports entertainment makes her debut as an official member of the WWE Friday Night SmackDown brand.

Plus, four teams will fight it out for the chance to advance to WrestleMania XL, and get a shot at winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships from The Judgment Day and four other teams. Those are only teasers for what’s to come. There will be more exciting developments on this week’s Friday night fight night.

Without further ado, here is a preview of WWE SmackDown.

Let’s run it down.

Full WWE SmackDown Match Card:

  • WrestleMania XL Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match: The Street Profits vs. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller
  • WrestleMania XL Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match: New Catch Republic vs. Legado Del Fantasma

Xtra Large Competition

By the end of this week’s WWE SmackDown, The Judgment Day will have the full picture regarding the five teams they will have to defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against at WrestleMania XL. So far, WWE Monday Night Raw tag teams, such as The Awesome Truth#DIY, and The New Day have qualified.

The New Catch RepublicThe Street ProfitsLegado Del Fantasma, and the duo of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller can punch their ticket to the ‘show of shows’ if they manage to come out on top of their respective matchups.

Only two teams will advanced to WrestleMania; who will it be?

A Storm Arrives

Touted as one of the pillars to lead the next generation of female WWE Superstars, Jade Cargill makes her way to SmackDown as she has officially signed with the brand. Cargill is one of the most interesting performers WWE has ever had on their books.

So interesting that there was a bidding war between Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown head honcho Nick Aldis. After last week, it is now official; Jade Cargill is on SmackDown and everybody should take notice.

After an impressive performance at this year’s Royal Rumble, fans have been clamoring to see more of the powerhouse. Fortunately, the WWE Universe and SmackDown loyalists will not have to wait any longer. What will Jade Cargill have to say, specifically to the SmackDown women’s roster?

Find out this Friday night, and more, only on Fox!
