Preview: AEW Dynamite (8/30/23) – Fallout from All In London

AEW Dynamite match graphic featuring Penta El Zero Miedo and Orange Cassidy.

We are fresh off the historic All In, and with only one week to build All Out, expect this episode of AEW Dynamite to shape up the card. Between backstage conflict and others mourning the loss of Bray Wyatt, it’s understandable that not many matchups have been announced. The one we do have is sure to be can’t miss as Penta El Zero Miedo and Orange Cassidy face off for the AEW International Championship.

Battle it out for All Out

Orange Cassidy is in the midst of an incredible title reign! He has faced every challenger that has come his way and has maintained his grip on the gold. He faces a difficult matchup in Penta El Zero Meido. Penta is one of the most decorated members of the AEW roster, but that’s not what potentially makes him Cassidy’s toughest matchup to date.

Penta is notorious for targeting his opponents’ injuries, particularly their arms. As twisted as it may sound, Cassidy is so batter and bruised it’s like Christmas to someone as sadistic as Penta. I refuse to count Cassidy out of this fight, but even if he does win, how much longer can he hold on? The winner of this will face Jon Moxley at All Out.

Surprisingly, that match with Moxley motivates the conflict between these two. For Penta, it’s a path for him to avenge his brother, Rey Fenix, by taking out the man responsible for leading the assault that kept Fenix from All In. Now, if Cassidy not only faces Moxley but wins, it will be the biggest win of his career. It will further legitimize the belt he holds and himself in the eyes of fans who have labeled him a comedy act.
