Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) made a huge announcement this week as they announced that current AEW star Jeff Hardy, will be making his debut for the promotion at their upcoming show on Friday, August 4th, My Name is GCW.”

The show, which will take place from Harpos in Detroit, Michigan, will mark Jeff Hardy’s first appearance outside of AEW since he teamed with brother Matt Hardy against The OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) at MCW Spring Fever in May of last year.

Known mostly for his time in WWE and to a lesser degree, TNA, Hardy has also wrestled across the independent circuits over the years making appearances in the NWA, Northeast Wrestling, House of Hardcore, Ring of Honor, The Crash, Big Time Wrestling, and more. Hardy has won 42 titles in his storied career, including tag team championships in WWE (9), Ring of Honor (1), and TNA (2), and world championships in WWE (3) and TNA (3).

Not only will fans be treated to Hardy’s chaotic brand of wrestling however, as following the event, Hardy is scheduled to perform some original songs to close out the evening. No details have been released regarding his direct involvement with the show or who he might potentially meet in the ring.
