Why Logan Paul In MITB Is A Good Thing

Logan Paul on WWE Monday Night Raw revealing he's in the Money in the Bank (MITB) Match.

Logan Paul appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw to reveal he asked to be added to the Men’s Money in the Bank (MITB) match. The lucrative superstar got his way.

It means the social media star turned WWE superstar is now one match away from a WWE title shot. Many are irritated that Paul can just walk into the match. The best rising WWE acts have worked hard to enter but Paul just clicks his finger and gets a shot. But, Logan Paul in MITB is a good thing. Here’s why.

More Eyes On MITB

The Men’s MITB match is interesting as it features Damian Priest, LA Knight, Butch, Santos Escobar, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Logan Paul. Only Nakamura has held a major championship in WWE. It is a great example of WWE pushing competitors from its undercard to potentially strike out as the next main event guy.

But in doing this, it means the majority of the competitors aren’t household names. Adding Logan Paul into the mix will pique the interest of more casual WWE fans and non-wrestling fans. Paul is also guaranteed to perform a crazy spot or involve one of his celebrity pals. This creates a can’t-miss match and will probably create viral videos that will get the world talking about WWE.

MITB Becomes Better Known

The Money in the Bank Match and the opportunity for the winner to cash in for a championship at any time is a well-known thing amongst wrestling fans. But the lapsed or very casual fan won’t know what it is. If Logan Paul wins the MITB briefcase, he can take it with him on his media appearances and include it in his social media videos. This will help elevate the MITB briefcase as something non-wrestling fans know about.

Paul can have the briefcase behind him as he films his IMPAULSIVE Podcast. It is the world’s number-one podcast, so it would benefit the MITB and WWE brand to have it with Paul.

Paul As WWE Champion

The other six competitors in the match are a little way off being at the level of winning either the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. So much so that during the qualifying matches, WWE commentators made a point to mention that they could cash in on any title.

Even referencing WWE NXT Championships. If Paul wins there’s on two champions he’s going after. Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins. Paul has a history with both Reigns and Rollins, having had high-profile matches against them both.

Rollins is one of the top babyfaces in the WWE at the moment. Paul is one of the best heels around. Paul taking the WWE World Heavyweight Championship off Rollins when he is venerable would make great storyline sense and help elevate the ‘newest’ title in WWE.

Simply put, there are no negatives about Logan Paul being in the MITB match.
