Shane McMahon Returns to WWE at WrestleMania 39

Shane McMahon Mens Royal Rumble

WrestleMania 39 delivered a surprise for fans on the second night of the event. Following Bianca Belair’s retention of the Raw Women’s Championship against Askua, Snoop Dogg and The Miz who are hosting WrestleMania came to the ring to announce the attendance for the evening. This was the setup for Shane McMahon and his return to WWE.

The Miz was airing his grievances with Snoop Dogg for Snoop putting Miz in an impromptu match against George Kittle at WrestleMania 39 Night One. Snopp asked if Miz wanted to do it again which Miz answered with a very loud “no”. Miz did not get his way through as Snoop brought Shane McMahon out and an impromptu match was made.

Shane appeared to go down with a knee injury just a couple of minutes into the match. Snoop took to the ring and hit Miz with a vicious right hand before hitting a modified version of “The People’s Elbow” to pin The Miz and pick up a win at the biggest WWE show of the year.

Shane has not been seen in WWE since the 2022 Royal Rumble. He was a participant in the Men’s Royal Rumble match and reportedly helped organize the match as well. He was reportedly dismissed from WWE after the Rumble due to the backlash received from how the match played out.
