Will Ospreay Pulled From Multiverse United

Will Ospreay Vacates

Will Ospreay has been pulled from the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and IMPACT Wrestling co-branded event Multiverse United. He was pulled from the event due to a shoulder injury suffered earlier this month.

Will Ospreay Pulled From Multiverse United Due to Injury

Ospreay injured his shoulder during a New Japan Cup match against fellow United Empire member Mark Davis. His shoulder injury reportedly came when Mark Davis performed a senton onto Ospreay while Ospreay was buried under floor mats. Although Ospreay went on to win the match he had to withdraw from the New Japan Cup. Mark Davis took his place in the bracket, and the announcement was made during an impromptu press conference.

Ospreay was set to face Speedball Mike Bailey in one of the marquee matches for the event. Bailey will now face off with Hiroshi Tanahashi at Multiverse United.

Multiverse United will take place on March 30th live in Los Angeles as part of WrestleCon. Other marquee matches include Josh Alexander defending his IMPACT World Championship against KUSHIDA. KENTA will also defend the STRONG Openweight Championship against Minoru Suzuki. Other key matchups include a six-way match for the IMPACT X-Division Championship, and Mickie James defending her Knockouts Championship against Deonna Purrazzo, Giesele Shaw, and Miyu Yamashita.
