Preview: AEW Dynamite Card Tonight (3/15/23) – Cassidy vs. Jarrett

All Elite Wrestling is back in the “Great White North” as AEW Dynamite goes international with its debut in Winnipeg, Manitoba this Wednesday night! The previous episode of Dynamite was one unforgettable show with Powerhouse Hobbs dethroning Wardlow to become TNT Champion, only three days after Mr. Mayhem regained the title.

This week’s show will also surely be one for the books as three of AEW’s most illustrious titles will be up for grabs. Plus, AEW World Champion MJF celebrates his “Re-Bar Mitzvah” in front of the Canadian audience. It’s a jam-packed show as AEW makes its return to Canada! Without further ado, let’s get into it. It’s Wednesday night after all, and you know what that means! This is a preview of this week’s AEW Dynamite. Let’s run it down.

Full AEW Dynamite Card:

  • AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett
  • AEW World Champion MJF’s “Re-Bar Mitzvah” Celebration
  • AEW World Trios Championship Match: House of Black (c) vs. The Elite vs. Jericho Appreciation Society

Going International

The AEW All-Atlantic Championship is no more, all welcome the AEW International Championship. According to All Elite Wrestling head honcho Tony Khan, this Wednesday’s match between Orange Cassidy and Jeff Jarrett will be the final defense of the All-Atlantic Title as the title is “leveling up” to the AEW International Title. It’s a huge milestone for the title. However, there may be bigger headlines aside from this name change.

Jarrett, still reeling from his and partner Jay Lethal’s loss back at Revolution, is craving gold and he has set his sights on Cassidy’s hardware. Last week on Dynamite, Double J would hit The Stroke on Cassidy followed by a guitar shot to the knee. Most would be out for weeks, but Orange Cassidy immediately requested a match between him and the “King of the Mountain” this Wednesday night in Winnipeg.

AEW higher-ups honored that request setting up this personal showdown for this week’s Dynamite. Jeff wants gold, Cassidy wants revenge. There can only be one!

Will Orange Cassidy continue his hot streak on AEW Dynamite and remain the newly-rechristened AEW International Champion? Or will Jeff Jarrett win his first championship in AEW and add another achievement to his already impressive Hall of Fame career?

A Clash in Canada

54 wins, no losses – that’s the stat line for the reigning, defending, and undefeated TBS Champion Jade Cargill. Jade has gone through the best of the best the wrestling world has to offer and her record remains spotless while she holds one of the richest prize in the sport. This Wednesday night, Jade is hungry for competition and has extended a challenge to any Canadian-born wrestler to step up and try to take the title away from her.

Who will rise to the challenge and possibly dethrone the most lethal force in all of wrestling today?
