Preview: AEW Dark: Elevation Card (03/13/2023)

Dark Elevation - Athena vs Mundi graphic

We have eight excellent matches to look forward to on tonight’s episode of AEW Dark Elevation. After a standout performance against Konosuke Takeshita last week, Jack Cartwheel returns on this week’s episode, taking on Brian Cage. Lucha Brothers look to build momentum heading into the Reach For the Sky Ladder Match as they take on The Wingmen’s “Pretty” Peter Avalon and Ryan Nemeth. Our focus will be on Athena, who looks to continue her dominant run against the debuting Inder Mundi.

Athena vs. Inder Mundi

Inder Mundi, better known as Samara, faces a tough task in her debut, taking on the dominant ROH Women’s Champion Athena. While this is Inder’s AEW debut, she still might be a familiar face to most of those watching at home. She competed in one televised match for WWE at their WWE Superstar Spectacle event.

She teamed with Charlotte taking on Bayley and Natalya, surprisingly picking up the win in her lone WWE outing. As impressive as that is, I don’t believe it is enough reason to pick her to emerge victorious in this match-up. She could get the upset and earn a title shot while doing so, but I don’t see her haunting Athena’s momentum. This will be a great match, but one Athena will inevitably walk away with the victory.
