The 2023 Battle of Los Angeles has come to an end after a thrilling second night of action at the Globe Theatre. IMPACT Wrestling star “Speedball” Mike Bailey emerged as the winner of the 2023 BOLA after winning four matches in one show, defeating a variety of opponents.

In his first match of the night, Bailey defeated Jordynne Grace to advance to the second round. There he met Dragongate star Shun Skywalker and beat him in 15 minutes, he then faced Texas indie standout Bryan Keith in another gruelling 15 minute win. The final was something of a reunion as Bailey, who spent a lot of time in Japan with DDT, faced DDT ace Konosuke Takeshita in a war that lasted nearly 30 minutes.

On a night that saw Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society appear in PWG, it was Bailey who had a star-making night. The match involving Jericho was a mind-bending ten-man tag that saw his JAS take on Dragongate’s SB KENTo, UK standout Michael Oku (aka OJMO), Player Uno, IMPACT’s Jonathan Gresham,  and Kevin Blackwood.

Despite all that, it was Mike Bailey who stole the night by outlasing four other competitors to win the richest prize in independent wrestling. Bailey joins names like Ricochet, Daniel Garcia, Jeff Cobb, Adam Cole, Kenny Omega, and many more as winners of the Battle of Los Angeles.
