Happy New Year, all! We have a stacked AEW Dark Elevation to start the year right, with nine great matches set for tonight! House of Black looks to continue their path of destruction in two separate matches this evening. First in trios action Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King look to run through Hagane Shinno, Rosario Grillo, and Dean Alexander. After that, Julia Hart looks to continue their momentum as she takes on Leva Bates. Our focus will be on Hikaru Shida as she faces the debuting Tyra Russamee.

Tyra Russamee vs. Hikaru Shida

Hikaru Shida returns to the AEW ring after coming up just short against AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter in a thrilling match. She’ll face off with the debuting Trya Russamee. Russamee is a fixture on the Colorado Independent scene but also has notable international experience.

She has competed in international promotions such as NHPW and SPW; the latter promotion saw her obtain the biggest win of her career. While competing for them, Tyra teamed up with AEW fixture Emi Sakura picking up a massive win over Alexis Lee and the first AEW Women’s World Champion, Riho.

Though I believe Tyra will impress everyone watching, Shida is one of the best in the world and, despite her recent loss, has a massive wave of momentum. It will be one of many great matchups this evening, so be sure to watch!
