TJPW recently announced the full lineup for their first Korakuen Hall show of 2023 coming up next on January 4. The card has championship stakes and foreigners will continue to make waves with the Japanese women’s wrestling promotion heading into 2023. Let’s take a closer look at this stacked show featuring Miyu Yamashita, Trish Adora, Maki Itoh, Magical Sugar Rabbits and many more on the lineup.

Yuka Sakazaki vs Miyu Yamashita

Yuka Sakazaki makes her 2nd defense of the TJPW Princess of Princess championship against the current EVE champion Miyu Yamashita in a huge championship headliner, Miyu has promised if she wins here that she’ll return to Pro Wrestling EVE as double champion of both women’s promotions. The match will be incredible for sure but the result really should be a no-brainer, definitely not counting out Miyu though. We’ll look back on this match in the conversation for MOTY of 2023 once the new year closes.

Reiwa AA Cannon in Jeopardy

Reiwa AA Cannon (Saki Akai & Yuki Aari) will defend the TJPW Princess tag team championship against a foreign tag team from the states, Wasteland War Party (Max the Impaler & Heidi Howitzer) in a first-time-ever match. This bout is a mix of styles and it’s gonna make for a damn good match. Max the Impaler will be making their return to the Joshi women’s promotion and they’re bringing reinforcements.

Miu Watanabe Defends

Miu Watanabe defends her International Princess championship for the 2nd time since defeating Alex Windsor earlier in October, this time against one of the best-unsigned women’s wrestlers in America in a highly anticipated championship match.

The Rest of The Action

The next challenger for the POP Championship will be decided in a battle royal featuring Mizuki, Maki Itoh, Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Kamifuku, Hikari Noa & Suzume. Maki Itoh has a good chance of winning this one and getting a match for the top title in TJPW.

Shoko Nakajima faces one of the standard bearers within the idol promotion, Hyper Misao on the undercard in a much-anticipated match for me personally.

Mahiro Kiryu, Nao Kakuta, Kaya Toribami will face the team of Pom Harajuku, Raku & Haruma Neko in a trios match during the undercard.

Juria Nagano & Moka Miyamoto will take on the team of Arisu Endo & Wakana Uehara before the big matches kickoff later on the show.

Yuki Aino opens the show facing one of the newest TJPW trainees, Himawari in their in-ring debut for the all-women’s wrestling promotion. Himawari originally debuted as a wrestler for Actwres girl’Z.

Ittenyon Start Times

Tokyo Joshi Pro 23 will start at 11:30am in Japan which means this is a middle of the night viewing for European fans. Those in the UK will need to be ready at 2:30am GMT in order to see the start of the show. For those in America, this means some late evening wrestling as Ittenyon begins at 9:30pm EST on the night of January 3.
