Dirty Dango Appears at Bound for Glory

The match kicked off the pre-show portion of Bound for Glory 2022. Brian Myers laid out an open challenge to anyone that wanted a shot at him and his Digital Media Championship. His challenge was answered by Dango who has not wrestled for IMPACT since the TNA days when he appeared under the name Johnny Curtis. He had matches against 3 Liv Kru, The Naturals, Elix Skipper, Jerry Lynn, and Sonjay Dutt in 2003 and 2004 inside a TNA ring.

Although Dango had the element of surprise coming into the match against Myers, Myers was able to retain the championship in the first of many title matches set for Bound for Glory. Dango kept the match competitive and received a warm welcome from the live audience in Albany New York.

Dango is best known for his time in WWE as both singles and tag team wrestler. He teamed with Tyler Breeze in both NXT and on the main roster. Dango was released from WWE in June of 2021. Since his release, he has returned to the independent circuit and worked with promotions such as NWA and GCW.
