Overcoming the Storm

Former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne made a very positive impression on her AEW Rampage debut as she convincingly defeated Leila Grey. Rayne proved to all the doubters that she aged like fine wine and is still good as ever. Everyone took notice. However, one person paid closer attention than others, the TBS Champion Jade Cargill.

Cargill saw how easily Madison dispatched one of her Baddies, claiming how difficult it is to find “good help” nowadays. Jade looks to take it into her own hands, openly engaging Rayne to take her open challenge on this Wednesday night’s Quake by the Lake. Surprisingly undeterred, Rayne willingly accepted and was even provoking the champion to do it then and there.

This leads us to this Wednesday night, Jade Cargill has been absolutely dominant since she debuted in AEW. She’s the only undefeated competitor and champion in All Elite Wrestling. However, Madison Rayne is no slouch either. Madison is a five-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion and a 17-year vet that has seen it all before. It’s not crazy to say that this might be “That B-tch’s” toughest task to date. Will Madison Rayne do the unthinkable and dethrone the reigning champion? Or will Cargill pad her undefeated streak and retain the title?

The Story Continues

Chris Jericho made history as he defeated Hangman Page at the first-ever All Out to become the inaugural AEW World Champion back in 2019. “Le Champion” enjoyed a long and dominant reign with the title, holding it for over six months. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Jon Moxley ended that historic run on the first edition of Revolution which kickstarted his own over nine-month reign with the gold.

Over two years later, Jericho still hasn’t forgotten about that monumental loss. Both of these individuals are far better from where they were all those years ago, and if you’re expecting the same old tune from these combatants you have another thing coming. Moxley has been a total world-beater, as evidenced by his brutal match against Mance Warner on Rampage.

Moxley just wants to fight and does not care who he has to do it against. With that being said, Jericho is on another level as well. Helming two of AEW’s best factions, and having two of the most brutal matches in the company’s history, defeating both Nick Gage and Eddie Kingston in barbaric brawls.

Both competitors know each other extremely well. However, things have changed and there will definitely be a couple of surprises for both to figure out. It’s Jon Moxley versus Chris Jericho one more time; who will come out on top? Find out on a special Quake by the Lake edition of AEW Dynamite! Only on TBS!
