AAA today held a press conference to hype up TripleMania 30, their final TripleMania branded event of 2022 which has celebrated the company’s anniversary with a number of major shows. They announced a couple of the bigger matches for the TripleMania 30 card during the conference.

- A fan vote will decide El Hijo del Vikingo’s opponent

Vikingo Fan Vote
In one of the more interesting choices of the night Vikingo’s opponent at TripleMania 30 for the Mega Championship will be decided by a fan vote. The company itself is pushing Rey Fenix and Kenny Omega as potential choices but fans can vote for anyone they want, meaning that it could be any number of people facing Vikingo.

Taya Valkyrie and Thunder Rosa both had video promos to build to their match for the championship. Valkyrie won the AAA title from Deonna Purrazzo earlier this year and has defended it in a few different promotions since then, but not in AAA.
Rosa’s objective appears to be to get the title back in the hands of a Mexican woman as the title has not been held by a Mexican woman since August of 2021 when Faby Apache lost it to Purrazzo at TripleMania XXIX.
