Liv Morgan Wins Women’s Money in the Bank

Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan won the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, guaranteeing herself an opportunity at either the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Championship at any time she chooses. Morgan is the seventh women’s winner. It will be interesting to see how long she holds the briefcase as Carmella remains the only winner to ever hold the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase longer than one day. Morgan outlasted Raquel Rodriguez, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Shotzi, and Alexa Bliss in the victory.

Morgan managed to win in the closing seconds as she knocked Becky Lynch off the ladder. This match had many attempted moments including a Liv Morgan Sunset Powerbomb from the top of the ladder to Lacey Evans, who came crashing down onto the mat. Nearly every competitor got their hands on the briefcase but only Morgan was able to achieve her moment. It was a year ago that she almost did the same but saw her opportunity slip through her fingers in the closing moments with Nikki ASH instead winning.

With both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships set to be defended, Morgan could follow the lead of those who won before her and make it count quickly. By far this is the biggest win of Morgan’s career, as she now has an opportunity to win the first championship of her career.
